As I'm at work and this number came up on my phone; I did not answer as I did not recognize it but checked google as I know it is a bill collector.

I got two calls. First time they asked for someone I did not know and I told them they had the wrong number. About two hours later they called and asked for the same person again. This time I asked who they were. The response was that they were FDS Bank who does the Macy's credit card.

I saw this number on my caller id too but we weren't home at the time of the call. I told my husband about this scam. Can't wait for them to call back so I can rip into them!

I received many phone calls form this number. six times in two days.

This is a sophisticated scam. They do seem have a certain amount of personal info. They clearly can't actually be Macy's (as they claim to be). These are NOT random calls. In order to justify the sheer number of calls to the same people who have already told them no, it would appear that they must have paid someone a great deal of money for the data. Otherwise, it wouldn't be worth the effort. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION or confirm whatever info they might have already. They will just sell it to some other bunch of crooks.  

Just thank the caller for the update and tell them that you went down to the nearest Macy's store and paid it off.

Guys! I don't even HAVE a Macy's account, and I'm also getting calls from this number! Today alone, a Sunday no less, they have already called 3 times. They HAVE to be a scam! Do NOT give out your info! I don't have an account with ANY department stores, so there is no way I am in a legitimate system. These guys MUST be cons!

this nnumber is calling my mom cell number to... they say from personal bussiness and calling like crazy.... again and again.... its so annoying............

Got several calls from this number, called ID says Mason, Ohio. I never answer it, I have never had an account with Macy's.

This number started calling me a few months ago and I never answered. I got annoyed and googled their number, which led me here. Finally they left a message and said it was MACY*S. The next time they called I answered and the woman knew exactly how much I owed onto my MACY*S card and the minimum payment without me telling her any information. She asked when I would be making a payment, and I told her I work at the mall and would just do it in person. She told me that was fine, but really wanted to know WHEN I would do it. Since I was getting fed up with their calls, I told her to take me off their "Call list" and she said until I paid my minimum payment, they have to keep calling. So since I was doubtful if it really was MACY*S or not, I hung up and called the customer service number on the back of my MACY*S card and told them I keep getting called from this exact phone number from MASON, OHIO. The representative that I spoke with confirmed that it really was MACY*S and they were calling because I was short $5 of my minimum payment for the previous month. In turn, they tripled my minimum for the next month. So they really are MACY*S calling because you were either late for a payment or short of your minimum payment. DOH.

PHONE RINGS AND PLEASE WAIT FOR A REPRESENTATIVE...VERY IMPORTANT CALL.....I HAVE BETTER THINGS THAN WAIT FOP AN UNKNOWN CALLED----THIS IS ON MY CELL BUT I ALSO GET UNKNOWN CALLED FROM SAME # AT HOME....

Check w/ your phone company... I was able to block this number (calls numerous times/day beginning at 8AM.

COX COMMUNICATIONS offers this service for my set up.  Verizon also has a block for computer generated calls, well worth the extra fee!   You may want to see if elderly family members have similar problems and help them block calls, too.

SELECTIVE CALL REJECTION

How Selective Call Rejection works:

You can program your phone to reject calls from any number you place in the rejection list. When your service is turned on," any caller in this list will hear an announcement that you're not accepting calls at this time. All other calls will ring through as usual.

How to use Selective Call rejection:
Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone.
Press *60 (on a rotary phone, dial 1160).
Listen for an announcement telling you whether the feature is currently on or off.
The recorded voice will then tell you how many (if any) numbers are currently stored in your rejection list.
Follow the voice instructions and press 3 to turn the feature on or off.
To add the last caller to your rejection list:
Press #01# (on a rotary phone, dial 1201).
To hear the phone numbers on your list:
Press 1.
After the list is read, voice instructions will follow.
To add a number to your list:
Press # (on a rotary phone, dial 12).
Follow the voice instructions you'll hear. You can store up to 31 phone numbers in your rejection list.
To remove a number from your list:
Press * (on a rotary phone, dial 11).
Follow the voice instructions to remove any or all of those numbers from your rejection list.
To hear instructions again:
Press 0.
Notes:
You will not be notified when or how many calls have been rejected.
You may press 1, 0, #, or * at any time rather than waiting for the voice instructions.
The list you create here is separate from any other lists you may be using for Priority Ringing, Call Waiting, Selective Call Acceptance, Selective Call Forwarding, and similar services.

i get a call from this number 4 times a day for the past couple of weeks. i answered once and there was no one on the other end. I do have a macy's account.

I get calls from this number at least 5 times a day. No one is ever on the other line,and when I call back I get the message that the office is open Mon - thur .... blah blah blah

I started receiving calls from (513) 754-9822 about 6 months ago. At first they were a few times a month but gradually increased to 7 to 8 times a day. There were also 3 to 4 calls on Saturdays and Sundays.

The (513) 754-9822 calls are from Macys & Bloomfields. There are a number of websites this number has been reported to. Please contact you State General Attorney's Office and the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint. The more people that do this the more of a paper trail there is to convict these people of harrassment.

Also, the call back number they leave once every few hundred calls is 1 800 545-1256. Call this number and when the phone is answered an automated voice tells you to key in your account number, just ignore it and eventually you will get a live person. This when you blow a loud whistle into the mouthpiece of your phone.

Started receiving these calls today. Several while I was at work. Unkown Caller.   However, from 513-754-9822. I always check them out on the internet to verify. My phone rang tonight from this number. I decided to answer Macy's to see a reaction. After an initial hesitation she asked for Robert Kirkpatrick and has a personal business matter to discuss.. I asked her which one and she gave my birthday. I told her she was a scam and not to call here again. Whoever they are, they are accessing personal information. Perhaps Macy's needs to read these blogs. I will be calling them tom...

I received a call from this number 7 times today. I couldn't wait to get home to google it. I've been receiving calls from other numbers and google them and found they were scams. I was glad I didn't answer to any of the calls after I saw all your messages!

I keep getting phone calls from this number....when i answered...they hung up.  I called back, it was Macys.  I told them I DID NOT have an account with them....and it was bordering on harassment.  I told them to remove my number ASAP!  The agent on the phone said it had been removed, and that it was probably a mistake.

I'm getting a call every half hour from 513-754-9822 between 8am and 8pm including weekends. Harassment at its finest.
