Got one today from Daniel Richardson at Aurora. It came from our website's "contact us" page.

Think about it: if these guys were truly serious and a legitimate business with legitimate clients and legitimate offers, wouldn't they MAIL you a package? Who uses fax machines to get new business? Worst sales scam ever. I throw all of these away.

Oh, and there's another one that claims they are a law firm settling the estate of someone with your last name and they want you to contact them immediately. Again, what law firm do you know that would send something like that via fax? None.

For those of you that are so concerned with your employees reading it and
getting alarmed, operate your business on a little more open , honest bases.
Your employees will appreciate your openness.
For those of you who have never sold a business before, this is a very common
method many business brokers use to test the waters.
So, stop the panic and get a grip, everyone isn't out to get you. Some are just
looking for possible interest ands getting their name out there on a very low
budget.

Be more open and honest with your employees, they will appreciate it and be much more loyal.

with address Montreal H4R 1X1 in Saint Laurent. Maybe somebody should find a buyer for his crappy business

Received a fax from 5143399998.  Tried faxing back to remove but would not go through so I called and asked him if they had nothing better to do then to waste peoples fax paper and he got very rude.  

This moron - Daniel J. Richardson - wants to buy a non-profit agency.

Does this twit think that anyone would ever fall for this????????

Received a fax from 514-339-9998 from the company of "Aurora Advisors Associates", with "Offices Worldwide", dated Feb 7, 2014 to [colleague's name who has been gone four years] with our correct company name and address.

Dear [former colleague's first name]  I have been trying to reach you about a significant buyer, who has a serious interest in purchasing all or part of [our correct company name]. Please contact me at (514) 339-9998 to let us know if you are interested in moving forward or remove you from our list.

got the same fax today from Daniel Richardson Reportly saying he had a serious buyer for our company funnny thing is our owners are not interested in selling the business and are doing quite well for themselves, these people need to stop trying to scam owners out of their companies, especially those that have been around for 20 years and know a scam when they see one.

We received a fax address to the business owner. Daniel J. Richardson, Senior Vice President says he has been trying to reach us about a significant buyer who has a serious interest in purchasing all or part of the business BLAH BLAH BLAH.
I looked this up online and discovered it was a scam. We have received similar faxes from this number with different business letterhead (other company names but never an address).

  They are just an annoying scam artist telemarketer .I only wish that Cdn government would clamp down on these jerks once and for all !!  They're mailing my Dad  ( who retired 9 yrs ago) and an old address ( from 5 yrs ago) .
I just feel so bad for other struggling business people who are vulnerable because of poor business conditions.  Major Rule of Thumb is (in 99.8% of the time )
    " NOBODY WANTS TO BUY YOUR BUSINESS,PERIOD  !!! "

"Aurora Advisors Associates - Offices Worldwide"  (?)  faxed a letter with no address or e-mail address to our former owner saying they had a "significant buyer" who has a serious interest in purchasing all or part of the company. They said to contact Daniel J. Richardson, Senior Vice President if interested in "moving forward" or if we want to be removed from their list.

Got my fax from Daniel Richardson telling me how he's been trying to reach meabout having a significant buyer for my company.  Danny, MAN-UP and get a toll free number so we can insult you on your dime.

This is a scam....they are from Canada. Use the fax they sent to wipe your feet.

SAME MESSAGE AS TOM.  ONLY IT IS NO JOKE TO WASTE PAPER.  COSTS MONEY.

GOT A FAX FROM 514-339-9998 AND IT STATES THAT WE CAN CALL THAT NUMBER TO HAVE OUR COMPANY REMOVED FROM THEIR FAX LISTING.

We keep getting this fax from a Daniel Richardson but when you call the number, is just rings & rings.

Letter faxed in with this phone number in it, asking for a response.

Fax from number 514-339-9998 -(originates from Canada) - company name of 'Wall Street International' claiming they have an Ohio based buyer that wants to open immediate negotiations to buy your business.
No address given for 'WSI', fax signed by 'Daniel J. Richardson', no title.
Bogus to say the least.
