Ac breast cancer svcs....know they are a rip off feeding off cancer..they are cancer! They continue to harass...most of the time do not answer and they hang up...surprise!

These people are relentless. They call morning, noon & night. Repeatedly! They keep asking for a woman who had my phone number 13 months ago! They don't care they just keep calling. I've asked them to stop & take my number off their list but they just keep calling! The number is (517) 641-2387

These calls started the other day when a cheerful and "real" sounding woman Amanda started the conversation saying my name and how I'm so hard to get hold of and laughed. Then she went into saying how she would send me info and if I could donate. I asked if this was a recording. The response was "Do I really sound that bad?". Then I proceeded to ask questions and they were all ignored, so I realized that it was a recorded voice. To play along, I told her I'd donate $25. She then transferred me to a live person. The person said, "so, you're gonna donate $25, will that be Visa or Mastercard?". I said, send me the literature and she said, "most people just do this over the phone". I said "do not call me again". Two minutes later, they called back asking for my donation. I told them that if they call me again, I'm calling the police. The next morning, Saturday, my phone rang at 8:02 in the morning, with a live person asking me for my credit card for a donation. My husband picked up and went off the wall. Luckily, they haven't called back, yet! So terrible!

Amanda from Breast Cancer Society (www.breastcancersociety.org) called to ask for a donation. "They help women with finds and medicine fighting cancer.  Can these woman count on your support?"  When asked if they wanted money or a letter of support, she answered, "Yes". $40 would be a nice pledge. I believe Amanda was calling from Associated Community Services, a Southfield telemarking org that receives $6.3M annually to make these calls, along with: $3.3M  for Central Processing of Southfield , $1M for JAK Productions Atlanta, $0.4M for Innovative Teleservices of Port Huron, and $0.4M Community Services Farmington for direct mailing.  That's about $5M in jobs for donations to Breast Cancer Society - James Reynolds family corporation(s). His parents, siblings and spouses have at least three similar cancer charities (including this one) and their CEOs receive in $200K salary range. Charities seem to receive some donations after fundraising expenses and salaries.  My source of information is their BCS IRS Form 990 posted on website and CNN Anderson Cooper report. Everything seems to be legal including registered charities calling DNC numbers.

I gave once when they caught me off guard and had just lost my sister to cancer. Then I looked up this "charitable organization" only to find that  98¢ of every dollar goes for wages, administration, etc. I don't even answer their calls anymore.

I got a call nov1st. From what they say is Breast cancer donation center. The girl said hi..is Tammi there. I said, speaking how may I help you...she then said, oh good to hear a person and not an answering machine we won't have to keep calling back.. then said, well you know October is breast cancer awareness month..which I thought hmmm its Nov. And we are looking for donations to help people who can't afford screenings, in the battle of cancer and research we are asking if you could make a donation? I said I could..sounding like a question. She then said well could you make the highest amount we have to pledge of fourth dollars? I said again kind of the same way as the first time of I could? Before I could ask or say anything else she then said, ok I'll transfer you over to a donation specialist..there was no click or pause just another girl whom said, Ah yeah I see you spoke with Sarah and you are going to donate forty dollars...I then said, well she didn't give me any other amounts that could be donated say like twenty dollars?   There was a five second pause and then she said so how will you be paying for that then today we take MasterCard, visa or discover..I said well you can just send me something in the mail i don't do any credit cards on the phone..there was a long pause and I said hello..there was no one answer so I hung up...they have since called back several times and twice this morning and leave no messages but caller ID telshows the number..I have a unlisted number so no way to get name and number. I was contacted by my bank recently who said Master card had, had a breach in there system and I feel this is a way for these people to get your info...if they were legit then they would have stayed on to get my address. Or already have it.

I received a call from the breast cancer s,, asking for donations to help those fighting breast cancer and help with the finacial aid part,, I told her I was fighting to pay bills from fighting breast cancer ,, she told me " well on behalf of alll of us here, we wish you to take good care of you and to get better. Not once did she say or offer to help with my bills from having breast cancer.  I came to the conclusion that they are really not asking for donations to help the women or men , they are only wanting the money. SCAM!

I received the same call , told her I was a survivor and fighting to pay bills from having breast cancer,, I really dont think they help the patients with medicines or bills, she told me on "behalf of all of us, we wish you to take good care of you and to get better. That tells me they are not helping anyone but the CEO's and other fat pockets .

The same number is used for a number of bogus charities.  Sometimes, we get calls from a number of "causes" consecutively, all describing themselves as different groups.  Pure scam.

Just received this call - answered because since caller ID was "TheBreastCancer..." and my mom is having treatments for cancer....she would not tell me who she was...but said.." boy.. you are one tough cookie to get ahold of..." when I pressed her she said she was from a "professional fundraising company"... I lost it and told her to never, ever call this number again. I do not appreciate someone who tries to make me think they are an old friend!   We are on the no call list.
