    They just hit my partner's cell phone for the 1st time today. Since the guy (Jerry Hastings) used the word "imperative" my partner was very concerned for friends & family. The thought crossed our minds that there may have been an accident, death or some other Important issue!
    After google-ing the phone number we discovered this site. BLESS Y'ALL for the info & commentary here! Turns out several months ago there was 1 other call something to do with owing for CDs, & no we don't order CDs as we seldom ever listen to any. No magazine subs either, I work at a library so who needs to buy them for goodness sakes! IF ANYONE HAS THE CASH & TIME, HANG THIS COMPANY!!

    I was the lucky recipient of a 3 minute recording from Jerry Hastings on my office voice mail today:
    "Hi. This is Jerry Hastings calling from the Tak-Har Group. Kindly return the phone call on 5186945465 and 66. It is imperative that you return the phone call as soon as you get this message. Thank you."

    I recieved a call from these people today and when I called it back I just got a busy signal. it says that it is imperaritive that I call them back. then there was nothing but a busy tone. sounds like a collection agency but not sure.

    When they called me (which has been several times) the message they left was very unprofessional.  They would repeat it over and over.  They are calling my business number and I am going to report it to the BBB.

    Getting calls from this number.. leaves message that continually repeats itself.. Answered it once.. it was not for me but daughter that does not live here as I told that jerk. Would not tell me what  he wanted with my daughter .. I would not give him her contact number .. now this jerk is going to harrass me to death. Callers name is Jerry Hastings.  This is pure telephone  harrasment

    Like above, good old Jerry said it was imparative I call back immediately.  The above comments are entertaining - thank you all.  I have no intention of returning the call.  I can only hope I am home the next time Jerry calls.  If he does, I will surely post our entertaining exchange.

    Received a message from good old Jerry Hastings who said it was imperitive that we call back immediately. It was on a 2 to 3 minute loop and made me feel like I was on the show "Lost".

    I have received several voice mails from Jerry Hastings who said it was imperative that I call back. It was the same loop over and over again. I called them back last week and they tried to get me to pay a Doubleday bookclub bill. I told them that I would call them back, but I have not and do not intend to.

    I got a call from these same people, talked to a man named Michael Williams, who also had a strong accent.  He worked for Takhar Collection in Niagara Falls New York.  Calling about a bill from two and a half years ago for $73.77 that had not been paid.  He wanted me to pay it immediately or it would go on my credit report. I told him due to the identity theft issues  that I would rather send a check in the mail and not give out my debit/credit card over the phone. I requested that he send me some information with what I needed to do. He become agravated and insisted that this needed to be done right away because it was too late to pay by mail, that I only had two days to clear this account up or this would go against my credit rating.  I told him that I would clear this up through the mail, then he told me that he was a professional, this was his job and that there would be no way I could clear this up after this was reported on my credit rating, I would have to wait 7 years before this would be dropped.  I'm not sure about what he stated, but I would not and will not give anyone I don't know my dr/cr card over the phone.

    i Have got a call from this company saying that iam owing $58.88 for my dvd a/c than guy scott transfer the call to his manger name as Andy Dawson i told his manger that he was hard time understanding Scott with his fake amwerican accent than andy help me with the situation he was so copearting and east to understand his language thats why debt collectiion in india is so sucssefull with the guy like india.India is great.

    I've only received two calls, SO FAR.

    I understood the name as "Gary Hastings", but the message is the same. "Hi. This is Jerry Hastings calling from the Tak-Har Group. Kindly return the phone call on 5186945465 and 66. It is imperative that you return the phone call as soon as you get this message. Thank you."

    A reverse look-up on the phone number reveals that it's an "unpublished" number. That, in ITSELF, says SHADY!!!  What LEGITIMATE business works from unpublished phone numbers?

    I'm tempted to search Mr. "Hastings'" home phone number and give him a taste of what he doles out. BUT, the right way would probably be to contact law enforcement and/or the telephone company to let them know what kind of "business" is being done from that number...And, of course, to request that they follow up and STOP IT!

    I received my first call today (12-29-08). There was a 3-digit number on my caller ID (202). The caller left a message: "This is Jerry Hastings with The Tak-Har Group, call 518 694-5465 or 66 immediately after you get this message"
    If you stay on the line, the message will play over & over again.
    I didn't call him back & don't intend to.

    I to have gotten these calls ( twice) First time left a message of the same as above and the second left no answer. I called back th efirst time recieved a busy signal, the second time answering machine and a woman with such a thick mid easrtern accent I could barely understand.

    This is to inform you guys out there that you dn't pay your debt on time and then you abuse to whomsoever you want. Every collection agency works under FDCPA and you guys misuse your rights most. That's why you guys have BAD CREDIT. Whenevr someone leaves a message on your answering machine but you don't even reply on that and you guys say that nobody called you and even collection agency sends debt notice before calling you. It's in your nature not to reply on anything then you give lame excuse that you ain't received anything in mail. The problem is from your side who don't update the new address after moving out from the old one. Collection Company is not wrong it's fault from your end. Whenever Collection Agency calls anyone and who picks up the call and doesn't answer it and the call back will be done until the right is not on the line. As per FDCPA Collection Agency calls 7times a day (home & work numbers ) until the right person is not on the line.

    these people are a piece of work. said that i owed money from a magazine subscription from 3 years ago. I asked them to please send the bill to my address and i would pay off of that, the guy gets smart with me and says that they have been sending bills (i havent received one!!)and i HAVE to make the payment over the phone. I told him that i didnt know who the hell he was and i most certainly not going to give him my credit card info, he put his arrogant little piss-ant manager on the phone who also told me that i have to pay over the phone, that they were not going to send any more bills. Fine, you wont send me a bill in writing, i wont be paying for it - end of discussion. little [***] hung up on me.
