this number has started calling me today, under the 519-777-6667 and an unlisted number...dont answer it b/c its a) long distance charges for me and b) its 99% of the time just telemarketing...had call blocking taken off my phone this month...no one outside of my area has my phone number

I do not know what is this groups problem however they call and do not say who they are. They need to stop

i got a phone call from them ...skyline company... they offer cellphone.. and in the end the man was asking for SIN number for the pre-approval.

last year i get the same... thing call ended up a woman asking for my sin number.. this people are scam
Y.. because its the time of the year for tax filing... i think they want to screw people up...

I am past furious on these calls. I have called everyone and done everything possible to have these calls stopped and they keep coming. Just got one 2 minutes ago.
I have posted here several times on what we were told to do , who to call etc. and it's all worthless and pointless because they just keep coming.
This is past harassment  with this and nothing is being done to stop them. No number can be tracked when it comes up just 416 , 1416 or a series of numbers and letters. Even the 777 number cant be traced.
I so want to get an air horn and blast their ears out.

Yes, me too. Phone was ringing when I was in the middle of cooking but when I answered, the person hung up on me. I checked the caller It was long distance. At least they had to say something if they wanted to call my house. Annoying...

Even if you were to try calling the number back you would not have gotten anywhere. It will not connect to anything.
What kills me is they don't want your credit card number they want your SIN number along with the rest of your personal info. This is past a regular scam we are all dealing with here.

Keep getting calls from these telemarketers.  Call the number back and recording comes back saying this number is not in service.  How can that be when they just called...getting so pissed. I get these calls sometimes 3 times a day.  Is there somewhere where we can take our number off there list??

I have tried everything Sherry. I am not listed , I have been on the DNCL since Oct. 15th 2010 , I had 3rd party calling stopped from computers and they are still getting through. I have called every option out there to stop them and they are still getting through. I have put up some posts here on who to call to report it to etc. Which is pointless cause it's not stopping.
Just when I think YES I finally found something that stopped the calls..a few days later I'm back up to 3 calls a day. I am at the point where I'm gonna have to put in place where people are going to have to put a number to my phone so anyone who has a private number cannot get through unless they punch that in 1st. No private callers anymore. I wonder if that will even curtail the calls.

Here is how to fix these [***]. First play along with them and see if you can get a real phone number.  Go on the internet and get yourself a auto dialer program. Then go and buy a Magicjack device whic will cost about $40.00 including one year of free service across north america. Hook the thing up and star auto dialing the number you have received. If you cannot get their number then go to the Sky Tel website and get their number and just start calling them. I did this recently to a collection agency who insisted on call me and after a couple of days getting my continuous calls I called back and told them they had a choice,,stop calling me or I would continue to call them.

It worked

Bottom line you must be a vicious and bad as they are. By the way I checked with the CRTC and it is ok to autodial a number as long as you do not threaten anyone with the call or you are not a telmarketer !!

I don't know this number or who is calling, they keep calling and not leaving a message

I get a call from this number every single day. I ask to be put on their DNC list every single day. They don't care. They even bypass our telemarketing blocking system. Block the number if you can. These people are rude.

LOL Your  opening 1st line cracked me up. The problem is I never get a full number and that 777 number you cannot call back. We have asked to speak to a supervisor and they refuse to give us a call back number. My husband went and called the number on line for the "real Skytel" and they have no idea about this scam going on. Also they acted as they couldn't give a damn that these scammers are using their name.
Speaking of threatening.. I don't know if you read the posts here but Skytel actually called someone back and got nasty because they told them to stop calling and hung up. It's so hard to track these people down. I have spoken to Rogers , CRTC , DNCL , RCMP etc. All giving great advice but they have no idea how to stop any of it. Each time I would get excited and post how to stop it but the calls restarted a day or so later.
It's one thing to try and scam someone by asking for credit card info but that's not what they want. They want your SIN number along with the rest of your private info. 1 person here got sucked into the scam. The calls still kept coming and they never did receive the product. My favorite was another poster here who when her children answered the phone and she told them that they were 8 and 9 year old's  They said they did not care and they could order it. Really now? Are you kidding me?

Your advice is awesome and I'm happy you were able to stop the collection agency into stop calling you. This on the other hand is a whole other animal .

These people call ever year around tax time.  Just tell them sorry no thanks and hang up.  Call your service provider and have them block the number from calling your line.

Worst part is one of my friends numbers is 2 numbers off this number so I didn't even think about when I answered the phone...

They cant block a call from a number that shows up as numbers and letters or just 4 digits. I have called every outlet and service offered and still they are coming through. I gotta say though this last week not one call. I'm not getting too excited though cause I know it's just a matter of time till I am back up to 3 calls a day , several times a week.
Its so frustrating and annoying.

I just received a call from this number and they asked for me by name... couldn't understand the caller at all - said they would call back?
