- MichaelI received this same message both yesterday and today. I am not returning the call, and have reported it to LifeLock of which I am a member
- Caller: Scam
- MVP| 1 replyHas anyone reported this to the Feds yet?
- tishbruGot the same robo-call today from "Steve Martin". I called back, got an Indian-speaking man, who said he was at the U.S. Treasury. I said, "Is this really the US Treasury" and he asked "What do you think?". I said No, I don't think so and hung up. Clearly a scam, then googled the number and found this site. Glad to read the postings - I feel sorry for elderly people who often fall prey to these scammers!
- gator replies to Concerned citizenjust got the same call. thanks.
- S in CTGot this call twice today! next time old "Steve" calls threatening me with a Grand Jewelry (yup Jewelry), I'm going to have some fun with him.
- Caller: Impersonating US Treasury agent
- Call type: Debt collector
- Connecticut ResidentReceived 2 calls within a few hours. Same threatening message from a guy calling himself "Steve Martin" from Oroville, CA (530) 532-2612.
- JamesReceived two calls on 09/23/14 within 2 hrs. Indian sounding voice, claims to represent US Treasury, calls himself Steve Martin.
Something about appearing before a magistrate and cooperating. "Help us help you".
530-532-2612 comes from Ovorville, CA land line.- Caller: YMax Communications
- Mike YellWe returned this phone call assuming it was a scam and the gentleman on the other line let me know that he worked for the US treasury and I was going to be arrested in 45 minutes. I asked what we can do to resolve this, can we pay you off? He told me no, there was nothing we could do. We would be arrested.
Odd the scammer didnt even want anything, it was almost like a prank phone call that I would do back in the 6th grade - ccGot two identical recorded threatening calls today from "Steve Martin." The calls played the same message again before each call ended. Left number 530-532-2612. Heavy accent; I did not return the call.
Would love to stop these jokers.- Caller: "Steve Martin"
- LWC| 2 repliesI had a few free moments and spent that time calling them repeatedly. It was quite an enjoyable experience. Everything from wanting to come visit them to get my number off their list to telling them I was going to call them every five minutes to telling them I was going to have a truckload of pork delivered. What's great is that they even answer the phone in various ways as "U.S. Treasury". My final call was answered by a gentleman telling me "he was waiting on a truckload of pork". I too fear for the one or two elderly persons that might fall for this nonsense.
- Caller: 530-532-2612

- DS replies to MVPWho can we report this person to? It's a scam and someone is going to fall prey to him.
- MLGReceived two similar calls from this number as reported by others in this listing today. I've filed a complaint with both the FCC and the US Treasury. Suggest all do the same.

- anonymous replies to AVi just got a call from the same people in CT.
- LBGot two calls in two days. Unfortunately answered the first one. Thought he gave me a different name the first time. But the man got a supervisor to talk with me as I demanded more information and then when I told the supervisor about what I found on the internet during the call about IRS telephone scams, the supervisor hung up. If you get one of these calls please visit the websites from the IRS describing telephone scams.
- Caller: "Dept. of Treasury"
- BuckyKatCaller ID said "Oroville, CA." We've gotten a lot of calls from assorted California cities lately - they generally never leave a message, or if they do it's blank with a hang-up. This dude was brazen enough to leave a message. Pretty much the same story as what people have listed below - "Steve Martin" with Treasury, extremely heavy Indian accent, blah, blah, felony, blah blah, call me. I do worry for the elderly with these creeps out there.
- Caller: ?
- MLI received this call from Steve Martin with Indian accent. Scam. i did nto answer it.
- Scott BStupid Scam.
I got the same robo call within 6 minutes of each other tonight. The first one I let go to voice mail and the second one came when I was listening to the message from the first one. Call from Oroville, CA at 530-532-2612. That is also the number they gave to call them back. This "Steve Martin" has quite a thick Indian or Pakistani accent.
Reported it as an "Impostor Scam" on the FTC web site and as an IRS Impersonator Scam on the Treasury Department web site. I would urge you to d the same.

Here is what Steve said to me: "Hi this message is intended to contact you. My name is Steve Martin and I'm calling regarding enforcement actions executed by US treasury intending your serious attention. Ignoring this will be an intentional second attempt to avoid initial appearance before the magistrate judge or a gran jury for a federal criminal offense. My number is 530-532-2612. Again 530-532-2612. I advise you to cooperate with us and help us to help you."- Caller: Scam Treasury Dept
- arhogI received the same call from Steve Martin and when I called back he said his name was Mike John son. I made a Crack about how they all sound alike and he said he was going to press charges for using racist remarks. I told him I would be waiting for his armed F.B.I. agents
