Okay - this is a telemarketing agency spamming people in English and Spanish with amazing travel offers.  If you call the phone number back, it will allow you to dial "1" to take the number off of their list.  I haven't received calls from them since then, however, I am irritated, as I am on the "do not call" list, which has been nice so far until this ad started calling me.

I got a call on my cell from this number at 6:20pm, they did not leave a message. .

I'm in New Brunswick and have Bell Cell phone.

Got the cal on 2/21/09 @ 2:17 pm . Answered and it was a recorded message of some sort.  Lady speaking spanish.

call back and have yourself removed from their list? that is what i did... now i guess it was a prank.
calling back a female voice recording told me they had called me in regard to travel, and that they would call back shortly.

Just got a call from that number, they hung up before i could answer, but when i tried to call it back it was a strange audio recording...

Recieved a call from 541-844-2097 my cell phone.  I called it back and he did say it was travel related, and quickly gave a prompt to have my number removed. I simply went through the process of being removed, which only took less than 20 seconds. They claim my number will be removed within 48 hours. Hope it will, because these type of calls are so annoying.  But at least with this one, they do make it really easy for you to have your number removed automatically without speaking to a rep who may or may not have the capabilities of removing your number..you know how they like to play games.

Yeah, AT&T cell number here.  This looks to be a common trend.  This company is very unscrupulous with their spamming of cell numbers...I don't answer any numbers that I don't recognize.  And you KNOW it's an automated message when there's no voice mail afterwards.....

Remove my tn from their list by calling back?  No way....I figure it only confirms that this scumbag company found a working cell number. Which may be the purpose of their call in the first place.

addendum: country code for international calls shows that this number originates from Argentina. Guess that explains the Spanish in the posts above

my number is registered also on do not call list . no message , its says the area code is for oregon online .

I got a missed call from 541 844 2097 today in the morning. I called back to see who it was and it was an answering machine that said thank you for calling, this is a travel related call. dial 1 to be removed from database.

I dont understand why I would have to have my number removed from their list when i am the national do not call list.....They called my work phone at11:33 am pst on a sunday,wtf....what good is the national do not call list? is it just another way to spend my tax dollar? do I have any recourse?

Got this call also, I was taking a dump and some spanish speaking lady started rambling about I think the donkey show in tijuana?

This is a reoccuring call I get on my cell phone.  My phones are all registered with 'do not call', yet this is reoccuring.  I am on T-Mobile, and cannot block spam calls.

Called the number back. Got a message stating "Hello, this is a travel related phone call, we will call back shortly. To be removed from our list press 1" then after the beep they want you to enter your number... Um yeah, why? So they can sell it to other people? That is a scam in itself... How do they get this information and what the hell is the do not call list for if these people can repeatedly do this?
