It's a message about delinquent taxes out of Long Beach CA.  It says "tax payers with serious charges and not calling back will be an intentional 2nd attempt to avoid appearance before a grand jury"... A grand jury summons for a tax bill sounds unlikely.  Definitely a scam.

I have received a call from V428-120-634-00010 At 12:06 pm & 1:57pm on 4/28/2016.tax payers with serious charges and not calling back will be an intentional 2nd attempt to avoid appearance before a grand jury". Mentioned the U.S. Treasury and a Federal Criminal Offense. They told me to call 562-444-6097. I did not call back.

US Treasury scam caller about government magistrate and legal action called 2x, Returned the called and they immediately asked for soc sec  numbers. Tracked the number to Lakewood CA address

Just received a call from this number, when I said hello they said I had the wrong extension and it hung up. Try to call the number back and it shows it's calling but never rings!!! I do owe on my 2015 taxes but have made payments glad to know from previous post this is a scammer number!!!

Called the number back this time it rang, a gentleman with an accent answered by saying it the IRS, he asked how he could help me I stated that they called me, he says from the same number they called I said yes, he put me on hold then came back and stated I have a warrant for my arrest, I said for what he says for unpaid taxes I asked how much do I owe he says $42 million, I said 42 million are you serious--he hung up!!!!

Similar story as the others, I need to make an appearance before the Magistrate Judge of the Grand Jury. I finally called and got through to them, asked what this was about. They wanted to verify information and had the wrong address for me and when I told them it was not my address they hung up. Sounds like they were fishing for information.

Anyone receiving this call, make sure you file a complaint at www.tigta.gov   That is the Inspector General's office for Treasury--they'll start working on it

Same prank as the complainers stated. They left no name and didn't ask for any particular name.

Ridiculous telling me I commuted a federal crime and was gong to get arrested.

They left vmail.  I ignored it.  Though I'm tempted to call just to see how much time of theirs I can waste - "oh wait, someone's at the door"...

Got a call from (562) 444-6097 threatening me that I needed to appear in court over back tax issues. I have never lived in California. Hung up on it. Heavy non-English accent.

Received the call on 5/3 around 1:55. I didn't recognize the number so it went to vm. Listened to vm this morning and got the same message as everyone else. Yes, very thick accent. Caller id says Lakewood. Glad I always check here, thx.

Scam...I get a refund every year....LOL!!!!

Just got this call as well!!! Was threatening me and telling me I had a warrant out for my arrest and that if I didn't settle this, an officer would present me with something, blah blah blah, I couldn't understand anything he was saying because of his accent. I get a refund back every year, there's no way I owe taxes from 2013. I asked him how much I "owed" and he wouldn't tell me. I hung up on him.

Crooks. Wonder why no agency takes care of this phenomenon. Number may be spoofed, anyway. Sad this can happen in a civilized country.
