I picked up since I'm expecting a call from a worker and a recording said, "I'm sorry, that's not a valid extension" And I hung up. I read some of the above notes after I looked the number up. Never lived in California, never want to. SPAM

It's a message about delinquent taxes out of Long Beach CA.  It says "tax payers with serious charges and not calling back will be an intentional 2nd attempt to avoid appearance before a grand jury"...Very heavy accent......

Same as what the other have reported.  "To avoid federal charges...." I work at home, and I am so SICK of getting 6 or 7 of these kinds of calls a day.  If I don't pick up, they leave the recording on voicemail (I don't know which is worse).

I have been receiving calls  from them several times a day this past week about the attempt to help you for failure to appear before a federal grand jury for criminal charges.

A  "David Blaine from the U.S. Treasury" called. Not calling back would be a serious 2nd attempt and an appearance at the magistrate of the grand jury.
First of all the IRS would NEVER CALL. You always get letters first. Old scam, been around forever.

Caller id shows as v51214180300012?  David Blaine from us treasury. 2nd offense. Magistrate of grand jury. Call 562-444-6097.
Who would call back? The IRS. & Gov't ALLWAYS SEND LETTERS. You must contact them. They will NEVER CALL and threaten.

I received a call from this number threatening me with appearance before a magistrate judge or grand jury for a federal criminal offense. It is a scam. I'm sure of it.

Received a call from this number saying I owed back taxes and was going to be arrested if I did not pay. I couldn't make out most of the message because of a very heavy accent. When I call the number back it just rings busy.

They left a message saying there from the US Tresury and it would be a crime federally if I didn't contact them.

Threat to prosecute

Got call this afternoon.  Same message as previous posts mention.  I am not calling back.  Suspected it was a scam.  Got a similar type of call few weeks ago.  I called that number back they tricked me into giving my address and last four digs of ss no.  That call mentioned IRS and law suit etc.  Those two words in same breath enough to scare anyone. They said sending marshalls out to arrest me.  I did soon realize was a scam.  I said send them, I'll be waiting with my attorney.  Naturally no one showed!

They have called me three times with the same threatening calls.

I have received several calls from this number. The caller stated that this is a call from the Treasury Department.

Message stating severe penalties for not returning the call. There's no way I'm giving my real name on this website. But the call information I gave is real.

Called saying i owed taxes and must appear in from of a Federal  Magistrates Court. when i called they asked for my SS# almost right away, hung upright away.
