This number is a scam trying to get your social security number. Turn them in. They are a scam.

This outfit called my house on Christmas Day, left a message on recorder for my maiden name. I have been married over 8 years now, this must be some kind of crap where they try to get your ss# or collect debts that are not valid or wrote off years ago.
Funny, I have a long lost friend who works at a place like this, friend is always trying to borrow money from me. She left a message on my cell phone, which I did not answer. Next thing you know, this place calls, hmmm?

For those of you thinking that this is not a legit collection agency and that is JUST some kind of scam to get your SS# or other personal info, please pull off your tinfoil hats. This is NOT some conspiracy and "the man" is not out to get you. It is a legit collection agency. I know, because they bought a batch of delinquent accounts from Verizon, whom I just happen to owe money to. Oddly enough, the calls that I get from them are stating the EXACT same amount of money (down to the penny) of what I owe(d) to Verizon. The first time they phoned me I was lucky(?) enough to get an actual person on the phone. I acknowledged to her that I was indeed the person that they were seeking, and stated that I was going to tell her the exact same thing that I told Verizon when their collections dept called me:..Come 'n get it!
I still get the automated calls, but I just let them go to my voicemail. FWIW, placing your number on the Do Not Call Registry does not help. As stated by another poster, this only works on telemarketers, NOT collection agencies.
The best suggestion that I can make is to simply change your phone number, and be 100% CERTAIN that your phone carrier (Verizon, AT&T, etc) does not include the forwarding number on the recorded message  for when someone calls your previous number. Also be certain that your number is unlisted, which is by far the easiest way for a collector to get a hold of you again.

I forgot to mention. While they are a legit collection agency, there's still the possibility that they (or some of their employees) are scamming for SS#'s or other personal info for profit.
Do your research, and do NOT give out any info that you feel might put you or your friends/family at financial risk.
No one can take advantage of you if YOU don't let them. ;-)

Got a call CHRISTMAS Day  at 3:18 pm.............No idea, machine calling, heard a partial message, but no return phone #.

Called several times.  Always a recording "This is a message for______________:  The recording does not say a name and stops right there.  WTF?

got a call new years eve, message for the lady that lives upstairs, not me.  how they got my number is beyond me, it's private blocked number not listed any place online and i have zero to do with my neighbor.  they have called several times now and i've added them to my block list on my digital voice to see if that works. it's harassment and getting annoying.

Rec'd call today from this number.  They gave an "ID" number and said to call
1-800-414-8319 and use the ID number.

This is a collection agency and unable to get my # off of their list.

Tried calling back and their machine doesnt answer and asks you to press number of your choice. It doesnt work as well.

Never said they were but they are calling the wrong place over and over and it gets annoying and when I call them back they don't answer nor does their system work so if you know someone who works there please tell them to stop calling me or fix their system.

I've done some research and learned that the phone number (562-453-4352) comes from Palisades Collection in southern California. Palisades Collection is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Asta Funding, Inc., a company that is publicly traded on NASDAQ (symbol: ASFI). Asta's CEO is Robert J. Michel, 210 Sylvan Ave. #1, Englewood Cliffs, NJ 07632, phone: 201-567-5648. Also, since ASFI is a publicly-traded company, the SEC might have an interest in their business practices, to the extent that those practices violate SEC regulations. Any lawyers or others out there with the skill set to push back?
