This is ridiculous. They ask if you have a dog?  Really?? What the hell is that all about.  I got the same number calling me tonight just a few minutes ago and it is 8:30pm CDT.  Firstly, they shouldn't be calling me at night and secondly, they need to go and sit on their thumbs and twirl instead of calling people to ask if they have a dog.  It's probably a scam and it could be recording people saying "yes" and they will bill you for something and it will show you accepted it by saying YES.  You should not answer a stranger no matter what question it is.

Several calls from this number; Caller (9/3/10 at 4:57pm) asked me if I had a small dog, when I said no he hung up.

My 9 year old son answered a call from this number because it said wireless caller and he thought it was my mother.  He had it on speaker and I heard a man's voice that sounded as if it was a recorded message.  It asked if we owned a small dog and hung up.Strange.  I didn't call the number back, i was worried it might be one of those scams that charge some outrageous charge when you call it.

I just purchased a Panasonic phone KX-TG6545, I am sure there are others that allows you to block any number.
You do need caller ID. You will hear one ring, that's all. The caller only hears a busy tone.

Received three calls from this number on different days.  Caller ID says WIRELESS CALLER.  I've never answered it and no voice mail messages have been left.

received a call from this number at 8:00pm central time, on 9-3-10, no message left

Received the recorded "do yo have a small dog" call.  It hung up after I barked a reply.

A computer generated call keeps contacting my home phone for months now and leaving a message prefaced by a kind of alpha-numeric code followed by the words "Do you own a small dog?"  
  This is so evil on so many levels...primarily that it is an invasion into the tranquility of my home when I am already on the Do No Call Registry. Secondly because I work nightshift and it wakes me up leaving me rattled and unable to sleep again, and also because my small dog of 15 1/2 years, the love of my life, just died. These calls are hurtful, disturbing, and painful.
  After some amateur investigation, I've discovered that these calls come from a cell phone registered in Washington, VA, just outside of Alexandria.  Can no one stop them?  Does anyone know what their intentions are?
 I hope that someone can identify them and include me in the class-action lawsuit, or better yet, the tarring and feathering. Anyone so stupid and so evil as to be willing to participate in this scam is by default potentially able to do much worse.
   Terrifying that they are able to continue with this harrassment for so long without consequence.

everyday i get a call from this number and their question is:

DO YOU OWN A SMALL DOG??

and then they hang up

The only thing I can think of is it is a survey company I had signed up with who knew I had pets. This number is a cell phone and it is based in Washington D.C.

Got calls from this number 571-214-5430 09-05-10 at 8:55pm CST (a Sunday night!) and 09-04-10 at 6:00pm. I screen calls from unknown numbers, so both of these calls went to voice mail. The caller hangs up.

I was not thinking straight.  I received the call and answered the question yes, expecting more questions but the call ended with this is survey 2010 -- or something like that

I don't need to complain I just want the home address of the scum that owns this number.  It would be much more efficient to provide that than just register complaints with some bureaucracy, a few thousand people showing up on his doorstep with pitchforks, torches and a bucket of tar and feathers and we could put a stop to this nonsense  once and for all.
