Report a phone call from 571-214-5430 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- PenelopeYea, I've been getting this message on a regular basis now for about a month. Can't someone track the signal on the cell phone when its on or something. I'm not that tech savvy to figure out how to track a cell phone signal. I think the cell phone just has to be on to be able to track it. I don't know if 5712145430 is the number that calls me, because I get "Unavailable". But they do say "Survey twenty-ten....Do you own a small dog?" in a highly irrItating and grating fashion. Is it some kind of joke or something? Or the person just wants to frustrate random people in the universe. Or maybe the person doesn't know its happening. Like they are on vacation in France and "accidently" left the "machine" on that randomly calls people. Whatever that "machine" is or does or why it might exist, I don't know.

- PersonIt's a scam. They want a recording of you saying yes so they can splice it into a recording saying you're agreeing to things for them to bill you. Do not answer.
- Ms. Nockinflossterthis number call my home at ungodly hours disturbing an elderly
resident against the fact that this number is on the no call list.
Why can't this number be stopped. It is a wireless number
and the company to which this number pays it's bill should
have the number disconnected.- Caller: 517 214 5430

I got a # of calls, so I called the #'s above to complain about it. - i TRIED TO GET THIS FIXED| 1 replyI've registered a complaint with the FCC about this phone number, and that is evidently the only thing we can do. The number is a cell phone in Washington, Virginia, but the Virginia Atty. Gen.'s office says they can't do anything unless we can provide the company name. I explained that the caller is only identified as "Wireless caller" and that nobody has been able to discover who is behind the robo calls.
I will now try my congressional representative and see if she can do anything about this.- Caller: wireless caller

- cracarolI recently received an email regarding this sort of call. Supposedly, these folks call and ask if you have a small dog. If you say "yes", they record you saying yes and then sign you up for services that you have not ordered or wanted. When you challenge it, they play a phony sales call and edit in your "yes" so that it appears that you have agreed to this unwanted service.
I'm not certain whether this is true, but I will not answer this number, nor will I ever say "yes" to a caller asking any question soliciting a "yes" answer over the phone.- Caller: wireless caller
- still tryingJust called the FTC and registered the complaint. I recommend that everyone who gets this call, contact the FTC at 1888 225-5322 to raise awareness of the problem. If enough people call, they'll take action.

- wet fuseMore than once calls from this number have been received with a recording stating "This is survey 306 [or some such number[]" and then asking "Do you own a small dog?"
Regardless of the response given ('yes' or 'no' or any other response} to the '"survey" ' the caller hangs up
This is getting bothersome.
How can it be stopped?

- James replies to i TRIED TO GET THIS FIXEDWell, these guys are almost certainly forging the caller ID. The phone company always has the real records of where each call is coming from and going to. But they won't help, you need legal cause to get those records. Since surveys are "allowed" by the Do Not Call laws telling the FCC that you don't like people calling you with a goofy survey doesn't get one anywhere. We could say harassment, but usually there is a very high standard for that and getting 5 or 6 calls in a week or two from somebody trying to take a survey won't qualify. If anybody actually gets a charge to their credit card or third-party phone billing that would be another story.
I actually had a casual acquaintance with a guy who owned a company where they did auto-dialing. When Do Not Call came in they were scrambling to find legal ways to remain in business. So anything they could do to get a contract and take a survey or act on behalf of a charity or political org was fair game.
So tell your congressman that we need the laws changed again. Do not Call means Do Not Call!! sorry if its hard for them to take accurate political polls and such, but that's just too bad. Same for a charity. That sounds cold, but with most auto-dialing and boiler-room charity calls over 75 percent of the money goes to the guys making the call. In fact one of our local Charities, CalPal figured out that most people have caller ID. They would call you 3 times a day for weeks and weeks until you called back to see what was going on. When you called them you would get the auto-pitch.
Since charities have abused and mismanaged their exception from Do Not Call they will have to establish contacts in the communities where they operate and go back to doing things the old-fashioned way.
Yep, tell them to change the law. - doggie breath replies to JeanetteThere is an unusual telephone “survey” going around. Someone calls, says they are taking a survey, and asks if you have a small dog.
Why in the world would they ask that? Apparently third-party groups (aka scammers/crammers) want to record a “yes” in your voice. They can later use it as proof you agreed to additional phone bill fees; that is, once the recorded “yes” is spliced and diced onto a new question. So if you’ve gotten this call, they aren’t after your dog, they are after your money. - nosmalldoghereRobo call Survery 2010, only asked "do you own a small dog?" I said no, got the paid for by Survey 2010 gibberish then hung up.
