I would like to know who calls me and when I ask who is calling they would not say who but they are trying to sell me insurance but they still don't say which company and they hang up the phone

Scam claiming to get you out of back taxes.  Callback now gets a "number disconnected or out of service"  Never identified company or gave a chance to take off list.  They already know they are in violation of DNC law.  Ignore the guys who say they are legitimate, they are from the same company trying to stem this service.  I found in the long run this works.  If you have the time, everytime they call, tell them you do have debt of  over 10k or whatever they are asking.  String them along with fake info as long as you can.  The secret is that when they realize that you are willing to waste their time, they drop your from their current call list (You may show back up again at a later date as the lists are sold and resold). If everyone would do this, the spammers who are ignoring the DNC laws would be out of business in a short time.

received several calls from 571-261-0012 about debt consolidation and told them to lose my number that I was on the DNC. the guy stated that they get their list from the DNC.
