Received a call on my cell phone from this number at on 11/10/08 at 9:33am EST.  Showed as a missed call.  Caller left a voice mail message, "Hi, this is Cathy with Financial Freedom.  You may recall receiving a letter saying you've been approved to consolidate your credit cards down to as low as a 1.5% interest rate.  This is not a new loan.  You've already been approved by a certified non-profit agency.  So if you can please have your statements ready when you call, my number is 1-800-706-6208.  Again, my name is Cathy and you can reach me at 1-800-706-6208 until 10 tonight.  Thanks and have a great day."

This number called my cell phone this morning. I didn't pick up and they didn't leave a message. I got a pre recorded message on my cell phone yesterday from an 856 area code. I had just won a free house! Wohoo! When I pressed the option to be removed from the calling list, the line disconnected. How convenient.

Call to cellphone that's on the do-not-call list, which is doubly illegal.

They placed a pre-recorded message on my voice-mail that began "Hi! This is Kathy from Financial Freedom...". I deleted the message at that point, so I don't know what the rest said.

They called at 9:42am EST.

This number 15712610045 called  me today at 10:22am, I answered as I always do and ... silence! This happened before, not sure if it was the same number, but i decided to call back now, 2AM EST and it says "this service is disconnected" .... It is so creepy that they call so many people and few know what's really about (it seems that they only leave msgs but not always).
Can we write a complain to Verizon? (that's the provider for this number)

Me also, picked up to silence. Maybe they are gather information about who has active phone lines. Does anyone know where we can report this?

Just got the same crazy call to my cell phone.  I did not answer.  The call rolled to v-mail and they left a msg..  It's the same Cathy msg others have reported.  This has got to stop.  There must be something we can do to silence this scam and other scams just like it.  I'm mad as hell!!!

Received a call from this number at 9:52am central time.  When I answered there was no response.

They called and did not leave a message.

got a call from this number, silence on other end...I hung up. Called back nothing but busy

i got the call at 9:35am. Somewhere in the virginia/d.c area is there a person who needs to get their ass kicked
