It was happening with me for months, I just didn't notice. After using 30 euro credit today for bunch of messages I don't give a damn about got really pissed of. How do I stop it?????! Blocking number on the phone doesn't help at all.

got my refund for the text I received from these thieves in June (directly from O2) but they have texted me 3 times today!!!!

I have texted back STOP now because I cant be paying all these charges from these people.  I tried to email and write to these people with no luck!

have logged a complaint with phonepayplus too!

My wife's pay as you go Virgin mobile has been sent texts from 57782 for the second time in the past 3 months - this time it sent 3 texts in the space of 30 mins!!! Each @ £2/each.  This is a SCAM.  She contacted Virgin last time this happened and they just said they couldn't block a text number and told her to text STOP back.  That had seemed to work....until today.  Her bill normally only comes to £5 or £6/month and these 3 texts have cost £6 alone!

This must be illegal - she has never signed up to receive ringtones or premium services.  How can they get her number??

Un-requested texts at the cost of £2 despite cancellation

I have just rang 08458693452 and spoke to a "call centre worker called SCOTT" who has assured me that I am now on the blocked list and wont receive any more texts and will be refunded. Will wait and see if that happens although not holding my breath.
Am I being too suspicious by thinking there is more to this than meets the eye. It was all too easy and I dont know of any call centre where you can get the same person whenever you phone.(maybe there are lots of SCOTTS who work there

I got 3 messages same time from 57782 cost me €7.50, I had tried to stop them after they send me first 2 messages cost me €5.00, but they are continuely doing it to me. I am not rich.

I've just discovered that my 9 yr old daughter was on a website called "Stardoll" which directed her to text 57782 to get virtual reality dollars to buy virtual reality clothes!!!! She text them twice & each time it charged me €2.50. My daughter will not be doing that again!!! - but am I now on some automatic schedule??  Will I have money taken out of my account regularly?

For the past few weeks credit has been taken from my mobile by 57782. I want it back.
I also want them to never do it again.

i spoke to someone today who told me he was sending me a refund for the messages.
has someone actually recieved the cheque?

This came through as a service message, which I've since deleted, but will see if I get charged on my next bill.

I am so angry, I'm shaking. After spotting £7 of text charges on my bill for this month alone, I called my network provider who also told me about mblox (although I couldn't quite catch the name until I saw it written here) I've been receiving a pair of messages at least once a week, which Orange tell me I've been paying £2 a pop for. This has been going on for weeks, and as a heterosexual woman with a partner, I most certainly did NOT apply to receive texts about 'hot babes' - and as another unemployed person (thank you credit crunch)especially didn't apply for something that I would have to pay these ramped up prices for. I am absolutely furious, and having spoken to their customer service department, they've also assured me I will be getting a refund and can put in a complaint. They asked me to tell them 'what kind of figure I had in mind' for my refund. What the hell?  I told this bloke that they should be illegal, that something needs to be done and I'm going to do something about them, whether it means going to the press or an MP - whatever. I found out they're based in Glasgow, so they're in the UK and therefore should be party to our laws. If this isn't breaking the law, then it should be made so. Who's with me?

I am SOOOO angry and can't believe these thieves!!!!  They have scammed me FOUR TIMES - sending me texts - I read it and delete it - then billed £2.00 for it!!!!

How can this happen????  I spoke to T-Mobile who were useless and said they cannot do anything about it as they have no control over this.  That's bull - what about security and privacy??  How do these people get our numbers charge us for simply reading their text messages.  Surely phone companies can bar these texts or are they getting something out of this themselves???

I am livid and will take his further!!

Please people - let's not just accept this - let's do something about it.  If you were mugged you'll call the police - this is daylight robbery and should be stopped!!!

Just phoned 08458693452 and spoke to a lady who said they were responsible for 57782 and 82344, which I had received texts from both totalling about £9.

She said that I would be taken off the list and took my postal address to send me my refund. She assured me that I will not receive any more marketing, which includes my postal address.
We shall see what happens next.

I have been charged since Jan 2009 (todays date: 06/12/2009). These thieving b***ards who have charged me a total of £18.71 by sending text messages (from 57782) containing sexual content, I have always deleted them immediately without even opening them, but never knew they charged me but have only just found out having looked at my online o2 account.

My 5 young children play games on my mobile phone everyday and a few times they have seen these disgusting pictures.

Its absolutely disgusting how can they get away with something like this.

Texts have also come from 83600 (2x £7.66) and 82344 (1x 2.13). I have logged in my complaints at http://www.phonepayplus.org.uk/.

I will go to my solicitor in the morning and see what advice they give me.

I have been charged since jan 2008 from 57782 and 82344 the 3 companies are listed as win shared, mblox and ipx i called 08458693452 and spoke to an operator in glasgow? he told me it was because i signed up to some marketing and must have accidently ticked the box for these txts, they sent me a chq for 13.50 but had spelt my name wrong so couldnt cash the chq, i called them back as i had since found all my bills for the last 2 years and worked out that they had taken over 30 pounds from me, they had been sending them for 3 months then stop for 2 then start up again, i confirmed the amounts with o2 and called back to sonnerier who put a complaint through for the correct amount they owe me, but the call centre i called was abroad so neither of us could understand each other, i called back again and got the same call centre and this time they said that they would make sure the complaint would be actioned and i would recieve a call to confirm this, i was also given a number from o2 0800500212 who are some kind of watchdog number who will take complaints regarding this, i will wait and see if i get a chq if not il call them.
