Got a call just now its identity theft scam

Claimed to be an emily thompson from Montreal quebec which kind of checks out how ever this is an alberta number so i doubt it and kind of sounds like eally good robo voice

A woman claiming to work for identity theft prevention, on behalf of Royal Bank of Canada

Emily Thompson "from RBC" asking me about new blah blah blah... Its 100% a robot as it asked "if it was a good time" I said "im at work, how long will this take" there was easily 5-10sec response time as it registered the words i said and failed to answer my question and just said "okay we will call another time"

I received a call from this number indicating it was AB health Services about an ambulance bill. No ambulance rides here and they didn't like it when I wouldn't give any information out over the phone.

Emily Thompson called me from 19023342698 saying she was from RBC on behave of the identity program but I caught on quick when she wanted me to say out loud my name and “yes” to approve the email coming through. No thanks [***]!!!!

Received a call claiming they were with rbc identity theft prevention plan( called themes FirstReport). It’s 100% a scam because 1.) rbc doesn’t call from that number 2.) when I answer there was a massive silence( I was ready to hang up) then a man with an Indian accent spoke half a sentence and then it cut to the woman. From that point on my red flags started going off.

Somebody called me with This name from 7783386681. Saying she is on behalf of RBC. I was stupid enough to give her my email.

I got a call from this saying it’s from the bank i am with which is RBC

I got calls few times from this number saying they are from RBC its very suspicious because im assuming banks do not use private numbers but what’s alarming is that they know my name

Came up as Spam. Called back. Woman said she was with RBC and wanted my name. I declined and said I would check with RBC myself.

Got two calls from this number. Likely scam with automated responses that play about a second after you speak. Best advice with any scam call is to not say anything for the first ten seconds. Any real person will say something after that period of silence.

Good advice on flushing out a robot by not speaking right away. There are now a few of the larger "Charity" and PAC scammers (for LEO and the famous Breast Cancer crooks) that have the robot say Hi, or even your first name as a way to lure you in.

I received a call just now, and she's claiming the same. I asked her if she knew who's she calling, and keep on telling me she couldn't disclose it due to privacy reasons. She wants me to verify my first and last name, like WTF, you are the one who called me. Yelled at her SCAMMER before I hung up the call.

Interesting. Received a call yesterday morning and today. Normally do not answer any calls from unknown numbers. If this was a legitimate caller from a legitimate company such as RBC, Shaw, Telus, etc., you would think it would show on the Caller ID. Sick of these scammer calls!

This number has called me 5 times in the last 2 weeks
