- Walter ego replies to JenMy guess is probably easy peasy. When you set up your mobile phone it says "at the tone, state your name" so they can hit a button and it says your name. Or a call list. Or it's an ex...mwahahahaha....evil laugh

- parisa replies to Sha| 1 replyHi, i got the same call, and i gave her my email address and full name. so stupid. just wondering if you had any issue or theft from them afterward? I'm just so worried about my email and bank account information. don't know why i picked up their call this time.
- B-Edwards replies to parisaYour email and name alone are unlikely to be enough to do theft - BUT, you do want to monitor your banking and CC accounts. You should be watching those anyway.
You can add layers of protection by looking into credit monitoring services and having 2 step verification for CC purchases and banking transactions.
You will probably see an increase in spam emails, go be ready for that. Be very careful what emails you open and never click on links from unknown sources. - post pending moderator approval
- Marisa replies to JohnSame here, +15874413653 called and I answered thinking is a delivery I was expecting, than called few times after. When answered was a woman voice, no accent claiming Is an rbc third party asking to update theft protection plan that I have (i don’t have such plan)

- YEGCalled me 7 times in the past two weeks. I don't pick up because it says "likely fraud" or "suspected spam" on my phone (with Rogers). If it was someone legit trying to call, they'd leave a message. If it was a bot, they'd leave a silent 2 second message. Since they hang up and do not leave a message, it's probably phishing.

- A replies to SerineSame happened got my name and email not my email that I use for all correspondence but one of my other email. Now I am concerned though I didn't give her the authorization she wanted
