I had same thing happen via gumtree and said exactly the same thing only name was MARK RUSSELL and shipping guy GARRET KNIGHT

I had a guy calling himself David  Fok email address is davidfok19@yahoo.com text me at 5:15am  offering to buy my car. Said he was working on a oil rigger.  Whast trigger it for me was his language calling me mate when clearly I am female.  Did the same thing wanted me to send $1100 to Western Union I checked with PayPal and they never use Western Union.  He won't give me the money before I paid out money.  His Petronas Tankers person was Garrett Knight 15 Sunway Road Kuala Lumpar.  Paypal rep was suppose to be smith.stuart43@gmail.com

Like I would send money off like that.  Probably same people who text early hours of morning offering sex on phone if you call the number.

Same Scam. Again via Gum tree.  The phone number was +15135682739 This time it was Johnbrew44@gmail.com and the address was 5 Sunway Road, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and then the name was also Rose Alex.

Samr thing Gumtree ad. Car sold with advice from PayPal (fake) that they were holding 4100 for me. 1000 of which was to be paid via Western Union for freight. Namesw in use: smith.stuart43@gmail.com; Garret Knight in KL; Harnett Greenwood ;
All emails look legit only the use of Western Union and language gives it away. as they say:Never, Never, Ner send anything via Western Union.

to all those people out there with things for sale on gumtree there are a heap of scammers out there.I nearly got cought yesterday a bloke named rodney kennedy21 wanted to purchase a car but found out in time buy a mate at a car yard it was a scam that he had the same message early by a different name again.Dont get caught with anything with western union.

Same but from Clara Lee telling me that she sent me extra money for me to organise and pay for shipping.  I was even getting confirmation emails from "paypal" to do so.
