Not a scam. Obviously the number assigned to your daughters phone was previously assigned to a deadbeat.  BTW,  just curious as to why an 8 year old needs a cell phone.  Not judging, maybe you have a reason that I've never considered.

No it is not. I have never had progressive and this number has called my phone therefore it is not a progressive collector! Maybe they knew you owed a debt to progressive and used that to scam you! Truth is... you don't know who it is either!

You are wrong, that is not the case for every number they call.  This number calls my two teen daughter's phones constantly.  They have no debt and we don't owe anyone.

I received a call that i answered and was hung up on.

This is a scam company.  I saw this number on my caller id.  A message came in that this is an attempt to collect a debt. They asked me for my phone number.  They looked up my number and knew my name and both my vehicles and said this is to collect a past due balance on my car insurance with liberty mutual insurance.  I asked which car is it for and she said both cars. I said I have different policy numbers for each car. I said I just paid my premium and was never informed that there is a pay due balance. That's when I realized this is a scam. I told her this is a scam and hung up.

I answered the phone then it started ringing on there end when I asked who it was they hung up

Tried to answer twice now when this number called since I'm hoping for a call back for a job and both times there was silence and then it hung up.

What do you mean "they charge your account"? What account.

This number just called me and my phone rang for a short time.
No message was left. I would avoid answering your phone from other information seen about this number.

This number has  called me three times now. How are they scamming us? I unfortunately answered & they hung up.. I will be blocking this  number now ... Ugh!

No. It's not a scam. It means you owe someone money. I got the call but its because I let my allstate run out and now they need payment. We are all getting the call because we cant pay our bills. Haha

They are a debt collector. My call was because I let my allstate run out and they sent payment to debt collector. Pay your bill and they stop calling.

No they dont. My payment is still the same..the same payment I didnt pay to allstate. And I called them back.

Have idea who it is. Left a 30 second message of quietness an then at the end they kept saying hello

This number has been calling me every day for the past two weeks.. I answer, it's either silence then hangup or it cuts and rings as if I'm calling.. I've tried calling back, they hangup or gets cut off.. this has become a real headache

This number has called a few times and every time I have picked up no answer and then hangs up. They're pissing me off so with this bs, so I just blocked them.. DON'T ANSWER!!

Keep getting this # calling me they never leave a message yes it says you have to listen to recorded message then you will be transferred

This number keeps calling me anywhere from 1-5 times a day no message left and I can never catch the call. I call back and get nothing...

Got a call from this number today. They claim they are "CSS a debt collection company" and try to get you to verify your name with them. I pay all my bills on time and have never been sent to collections so this is clearly a scam!
