Well I received a call from this number about 13.15 hrs CET in SPAIN!  When I answered (in English) I just heard background junk as if in an office environment but nobody actually addressed me.  Why on earth do the US authorities not DO something to stop this kind of cr*p being done.  I have a daughter in New York and thought that something might have happened until I read this web site!

Mean time I will put this number on teh refuse list on the phone.   Hope it works!

They called me today, last time they called I just said "hold on a minute" and I just set the phone down, don't know how long they waited but when I checked about ten minutes later they were gone. One other time when they called and said that they were from Windows I asked them if they were calling from Microsoft Windows, knowing full well that they weren't, they would just say calling from windows, then I called them idiots, [***] and gave them hell until they hung up.

First he called from this 607-737-1409, then from 626 445 9134. Same guy. Second time he left a message regarding my lost dog I had been posting online about!!!! Sounded very odd so I didn't call back.

What is this???????????

Left a message that IRS is going to sue me and take me to court.  It is a scam.  IRS will not call and leave you a message to tell you this is the final notice before they take you to court.  I received the same voicemail from 202-241-8261.  

received a call from this number today, it was a very poor recording saying that this was my final notice from the IRS and they are suing me, please call 202-618-1948.  Scam, did not call back the number and don't plan on calling it

I recieved this call today and granted acces to my laptop the same as you.. After obviously realising it was a scam I disxonnected him from remote access and left it..

However I am concerned now as I gave them information to what devices I have in my house (tablets/laptops etc.) and I am concerned they may have an alterior motive such as stealing?

I know its a long shot but it has been annoying me all day how weird the call was, I am just wondering if you encountered anything of the sorts after the phone call.

I received a call from this number saying "This is the IRS, the Internal revenue Service to let you know
we have been trying to reach you and are filing a law suit against you at this time." To find more about this law suit
call (phone) to get information.

They are still in business, called me twice this week in december, here in Sweden.

Fradulent man with Indian English accent, trying to lure me to install some trojan horse-crap on my computer, so that they could milk me.. I hate frauds.. may they rot in hell !

And why on EARTH, does this site not have any "FRAUD" option under "Call type" ???

threatening message saying the IRS is filing a law suit against me  and left another number to contact  2022418011. i did not answer the phone because the 6077371409 number came up  as a pay phone . It seems  the scam has switched from wanting to access your computer to threatening  law suits from the  IRS

These people are debt collectors using different numbers to get information. Today they called 5 ties each with a different scam number.  I do not answer the phone and on a no call list. If my friends want me they leave a message.

It was a automatic call,saying that the Irs   has file a law suit against Me .They wanted Me to call back. 607-737-1409

I received a phonecall at 7.25am on Mon 16th Feb 2015. The man on the phone  had an Indian accent and he knew my name. He said he was from the Telephone Preference Service (which years ago I had signed up to) but it was clearly a scam. I asked him if he knew what the time was - and he said it was 7.15am. I asked him if it was usual to phone at this time on a Monday morning. He hung up. We need to bring the death penalty back to deal with these people.

We got a call this morning too at 6:45am from the IRS in New York? When it's Presidents day and all government offices are closed? Brilliant scam artists there! The IRS will only contact you about an outstanding balance through the mail.

I received a call from this number telling me that the IRS was suing me! How stupid. There was a number given to call them back. Not going to happen! Ignore this stupidity.

Automated recording, and a bad one at that, saying it's IRS and this is final notice that I'm being sued...never had ANY notice and have zero reason to be sued by IRS since my taxes are current.
