some [***] called and just hung up when i said the person he asked for wasn't in.

Hi, guys. I'm Elena and I'm from Russia. I got same call tonight, but I was sleepy so I rejected the call. then called a second time, but with a different number, and I again rejected it.

Call from this number with someone claiming they were with "Windows Service" company and that they were calling be because my computer had a virus. I asked which IP address... he said he wasn't allowed to tell me that. I asked for which MS Windows license key and he rhymed off a number which doesn't match my license. I told him that, but he insisted. So, I threw another questiion at him... for what version of Windows was the key --- he said Windows7, I told him I didn't run Windows7 and he hung up.

Believe that they wanted to be given information to let them connect to the machine either steal information or damage it.

Got a call from 714-535-7004 from Anaheim, CA 9:48pm MDT. Then got a call from this number at 10:13pm showing Elmira, NY. Both calls on my cell phone. Both times they left no message. This site list both numbers as same Windows scam.

Got a call from this number today, listed as Elmira, NY.

Different scam - said he was from Data protection Department, and wanted to discuss details of a credit card.

He knew my name, and the type of card, but I wouldnt give him card details until he correctly answered 3 security questions:

Long number on his credit card, 3 security numbers on back, his mothers maiden name.

Predictably, he hung up, which was a shame, as I was enjoying myself.

Someone called from this number and just hung up.  I don't need the unnecessary disturbance.

Got a call with this as a caller ID. The phone listed is a spoof number, no such number in service. It is illegal to do this in the USA, so you have to assume its from another country. Its easy to dial an 800 number for a spoof call, they connect you and put in a number that is not a working number as a caller ID. They use this instead of an unlisted number, many people will not answer a unlisted or no caller ID call.

No message

Shows up as "PayPhone"....a "roger" said he was from technical support regarding my computer.....told him, "Hey, you know what?  You showed up as calling from  payphone."  Then all I heard was a click!!   What a scam~~~

SCAM
I received a message from this number indicating that he works for windows and that I had a virus and to log on.  Very difficult to understand.  It was a woman who said she worked for Esupport Live and said she was from the technical department.  She was very difficult to understand and eventually put the male on with middle eastern accent.  I told him I would call him back.  He answered the 1-888-514-1650 number and I hung up.  
My concern is someone elderly, etc may not know enough to not give out the information....

I got the same call this evening. I take care of an elderly person whom received the phone call. I tried to call back but number was out of service.

This number called with an automated message saying my MasterCard had been deactivated. If I wanted to reactivate enter my 16 digit number now. I'm not that dumb

Just got the same call.
David (very heavy Indian/Pakistani accent) who worked for Computer Service asked for my wife by her full name. When I explained that she wasn't home, he still wanted me to log onto a computer because I had corrupted files he wanted to fix. I asked him which one, and his rely was "the Windows one". It was very hard to convince him that I didn't have a Windows computer - we're now a Linux family (and you should be too!). He hung up while "transferring" me to someone who could speak English without such a strong dialectic accent.

Call showed up on my caller ID as "New York".

An Asian chappie called me at 7pm on a Saturday night to tell me I had problems with my computer.  I told them that was impossible as I didn't have one.  We'll see how long it is before they call again.

I'm from India and I too keep getting these calls. At first I thought its friends from the US trying to call me so I answered but they hung up. Now I just reject and block the numbers in Truecaller. Unfortunately I haven't got a chance to speak to any of these morons!

Got a call from this # today.   He didn't want to accept that I did not have a windows computer or laptop at my home.   How stupid does he think we all are ?   I don't need someone monitoring my computer ... If it crashes I will take care of it.  Please do not give any information to these types of callers.

Got a call from (607) 767-0115 approx. 8:30 p.m -caller I.D. indicated call originated from a pay phone, from a woman with a pronounced Indian accent; frantic and desperate with fear regarding a virus in my computer ... and they had software to get rid of the virus etc., etc. ... when I told her that I didn't own a PC., she hesitated ... then said,
"well yooh doo have a lap torp dorn't yooh?"
Before she could say anything else, I asked for her name and which company she represented; she mumbled something under her breath and hung up.  In retrospect, I wish she'd have stayed on the line a few seconds longer so that I could have hurled insults at her - definitely a SCAM!

I got a call from the same number but with 001 so routed america, indian woman, she says Have you got a windows computer, so I said ,,Ha Ha your the Scam people, and they hung up on me , didnt want to tell them that I have cleared two computers so far.

As soon as I find their I.P. Address ;)
