I've had several missed calls over a few weeks. Today they left a 2:38 minute voicemail for me and it was someone walking, kind of winded, and people talking. If this was from a corporate office, I don't think they would be walking around with the phone in their pocket, accidentally leaving a voicemail....

I called united. You are NOT with them. you are a SCAM!

This is not legit and your information should not be shared. This is not United Healthcare. Questions about it are on multiple message boards and the responses claiming it is legit are often repeated - such as the "... calling to confirm a surgery..." one.

No it's not a united health care number. I called United health care and they said its not there number.

Something not correct I do not pick up tele numbers I do not know 3 x they have called

I called the United Healthcare number on the back of my insurance card to verify if the 612-234-9000 number is legitimate or not. It is a legitimate United Healthcare number. I hope this helps.

I got a call from this phone number with a voicemail left regarding a uhc  insurance, i don't know from where they got my information, blocked right away.

I received a call from this number and they left a voice mail regarding a UHC, trying to obtain coordination for the dependence on t he policy, just need to know if there is any other health insurance that I may would need to coordinate. This number is not from UHC. be careful by giving your personal Information. I blocked the number.

They wanted to verify my other insurance.  I have none.  Then they asked for my birthdate and address to confirm.  I would not give it.  I called this number back and the recording said "you have reached a non-working number at United Health GROUP.  Please hang up and dial the number on your card."  Note:  United Health GROUP, not United Health CARE.

Call the number back.  they are really using the name United Health GROUP.

United Healthcare. I missed the call. When I called back a recording stated to call the number on the back of my card. Legit I'd say.

Legit. This is a United HealthCare number that called me back about an authorization that I had submitted.

Appears to be a scam. Left garbled message on voicemail, identifying as UMR, asking me to call back at 866-575-6940.  Dialing 866-575-6940 yields the "not a working number" error prompt. Redialing the 612# gets a different automated voice revealing that the number "is not a working number".

Got a call from 612-234-9000.  Let it go to voice mail.  Said they were Outreach for (name of my insurance) They knew my name and left 866-502-7169 and a reference number.  I called my insurance, gave them the info and they told me it was not any of their numbers and there was no reason for them to call me.  They thanked me for reporting it.  They're phishing bottom feeders.  Don't give them any info.  I called back the 866, got the recording and stating they were transferring me to an agent and hung up.  Tried it a few times.  Same result.  Any of you claiming to work for this company

Fraud.  I spent 20 minutes on the phone trying to find out why these people were calling me.  I had an account with  UH so I called to find out if this 612 call was in fact regarding COB on an old claim.  Doctors are sometimes very slow to bill, especially in large institutions.  Nothing.  No notes or open claims.  Of course, it would have been easy enough to find that out on the Medicare website too.  If ever they call for coordination of benefits and you have Medicare, check your open claims.  That's an easy way to prove these calls are BS.

All these people that claim the number is legit must be part of the scam.  I assume that the company should know better not to call their members with some different number other then the one that is provide on the card.  One said that her mother call her and that,s the number that showed on the caller id.  Why does her mother call her using that instead of her own phone.

This number is a legitimate United Healthcare phone number. It is not a scammer.
