A male (sounded like a white American Male because of the tones of his voice) called me up in response to an advert I placed on Craigslist, LAS VEGAS.  This phone call took place 5 minutes ago at approx 9:30pm, Thursday March 12th, it will be stored on my CELL PHONE bill :)

The male voice "Claimed" he had purchased some laptops that were stolen from my apartment.  He continued saying that he had actually stolen the laptops and ultimately said he wanted $150 CASH for the two laptops, but I must meet him in a public toilet and give him "sexual favors" with my mouth.

Clearly at this point I realized that this was a "prank phone call"..... I asked him to describe the laptops to me for the "distinguishing features" on the laptop..... he had no idea what to say and talked about "Whipping my rear end" and he sounded very very nasty and almost like a sex maniac.

I hung up on him.... he then called back but I did not reply.

He did not leave a message... but if he calls again, I will record the entire phone call and hopefully we can "nail" this prankster.  If a youthful person in their teens had picked up my phone, this would have been classified as a "sex offender" act!

I have never had such an experience.  This is new to me.  Lets all get together and see if we can find out who these freaks are, that clearly use the phone number

I had a call tonight from that number...they told me they were a local bank, and that my debit card had been stolen, they wanted me to press #1 to reactivate my card - this sounds like a scam to me...we do not use the bank, and do not have an account there.  Watch out!

1-615-724-7999 called on my cell Phone it just ring missed the call did not leave a msg. When called back it says "Not in Service. and its not a normal a recording" WTF? is this another scam crap hitting cell phones or what?

Got a call from this number and said that my Mastercard was deactivated.  Didn't say anything but reported it to our credit card company and will be checking into this number.

Calls opver and over threatening family/etc.. what is this bullcrap! someone stop this crap!

i received a call today(615-724-7999)  04/15/2010 caller wanted for me to get him 10 contacts that would speak mainly spanish..and i would win some appliances for my house, caller also mentioned that she was calling from Univision, a spanish language network channel, i  gave a little info for a few of my friends when call was lost, then in a few minutes i recv another call (323-174-3027) , i ask caller why she had hung up on me as well she also ask the same thing, then call was lost , i tried calling back to both numbers , and its says that number is not in service.

Asked for me by name and then hung up. TN Area code.  You cannot call it back, it is a non working number

I am on the no call list for my cellular phone, and this number has called my cell phone at 6:24 AM! in the morning!!!! left no message.  

Yes I would like this number fined for calling me on my cellular phone that is listed as a no call number

05-02-10 got a call from this number @ 8 am Sunday  did not leave a message and when I called back got a rechording that said that " Massage g822 the u.s. celluar number you are tring to reach is no longer in service" . WTF ! If its not in service how does the number come up on caller i.d.

No message, but called at 2:35 AM. Not cool.

got a call from this very number claiming to be something like the United Legal Department.  addressed me by name and then asked me if i was friends with *withheld name*.  i said yes and he proceeded to tell me his name was Kevin Rogers (but he had a very thick foreign accent) and that my friend had failed to pay back a payday loan and he was threatening a lawsuit.  the first time i talked to him, i hung up on him.  talked to my friend that afternoon and she confirmed that she was getting the same phone calls but said she applied but never received a payday loan.  we both acknowledged it was probably a scam, especially since i was present when my friend applied for the online loan.  i gave my HOME number as a reference, not my cell number, which is what the man called.

the next day, got a call from a different number but the same individual spoke on the phone.  i told him that i recognized him and that i knew it was a scam.  told him that he had been reported to the proper authorities.  he proceeded to threaten to have people come to my house and haul me off to jail.  i told him to bring it on because he couldn't do that legally anyway.  he then called me a mother-f-er.  

i filed a complained with the better business bureau and the federal trade commission.  hopefully, they'll catch these people.

Received call from this number.  It was my stepson who is stationed in Iraq.  You never know who is calling from some of these numbers.

We receive at least 5 calls aday from 6157247999.  We are a business.  He is a foreign speaking person.  Does anyone else get these calls.  He claims he works for AT & T.  I have today reported this to AT & T.   Bad experience with AT & T if it is actually AT & T representatives.  If I want something from AT & T I will call them.

Got a call from this number at 7:50 AM.
I didn't answer and they did not leave a message.
They called my private cell number so I don't use my minutes until I'm sure who it is.

Who is the coward who lurks behind these calls?  Did they have to crawl back under their rock rather than speak with the real person on the other end?  Please go see a shrink.  Did your parents beat and/or abuse you as a child?  Must have! I pray you find your way to being a real human being...and not afraid of humanity.  Speak up please.

BTW, I did call back.  A recording comes on saying it's not a working number.....I guess the same can be said about this person's head.  Guess that's how some poor slobs get their jollies. C'est la vie!

It's just a call from someone using Skype. Not to worry. I used it to find my cell phone awhile ago. Just because you don't understand something doesn't make it evil. I don't understand quarks, but I don't think it's an evil scam plot. Of some scammers are using Skype to do illegal things, but you have to be smart enough not to give out personal information on the phone. That's not Sykpe's fault; it's yours if you believe everything you hear from a stranger on the phone. Get over it.

In two weeks, I received four calls from this number around 5 and 6 AM. I did not answer, but it bothers me that someone harrassing me and waking me up when I go to bed already very very late

Something needs to be done about these callers ! I'm on the no call list, what's the deal?
