Received two calls this evening (6/22) from this number on my cell phone -- first one at 11:12 p.m. and second one at 11:13 p.m. -- I didn't hear it ring so didn't answer but "googled" the number later as I didn't recognize it when I saw missed message on screen. No message was left on voice mail.

I just received a call from this number, it showed as unavailable and no message was left. I've read the blogs indicating the call is Skype while others indicate it is a scam.
You're probably both right.

If Skype does not provide a real number why wouldn't scammers not use it? It's perfect for them.

I for one am not answering the phone. If it's somebody I know, they can leave a message and I'll gladly call then back.

how weird my wife called me from india, and I am in USA and the first time she called it came up on my as as 615-724-7999, it didnt work on either side so she tried again and the second time it came on my caller as her own number. so something screwy with the phone companies and this number.

got a call just now from this number. didn't answer it. no message left.

keep getting calls from this number after midnight and when call back no service who is this calling me?

relax.. are you really so badly hurt that you want regulation.. ?  I think you are being a little over the top about a phone call in this 21st century.. where morons provide all their info via social networking sites and use the stupid response.. "I'm not doing anything wrong, so why should I be worried?"

this is just spam and apart from cause you to spend a few monets dismissing it.. you don't need to be dramatic about it.. !!!!

Got a call from this number at 5:30 am.

Automated female voice stating the the Machias (Maine) Savings Bank had put a hold on my debit card and that I had to call their security division.  I do not have an account with this bank and do not have a debit card associated with them.  I did not listen beyond their request that I call their security.

Started getting calls on my home phone several days ago.  Called AT&T they said they could not help me  so I cancelled my home phone service.  Now some 5-6 days later I am getting calls on my cell phone which is with another company. Don't know how they found my cell number.

# was left on my caller ID.    I don't know who or what this is.

This number just called and said they were calling from US government in Washington, DC; and I had a check there for over $400,000 from a foreign country.  He wanted to know if anyone had already called me with fraudulent information because he had reason to believe there was identity theft; someone was using my name.  He asked other questions in attempt to get information for me; which I gave none! He then proceeded to say grab a pen I need to give you my contact information should anyone call.  I hung up.  This number calls often.

getting 15-20 calls from 773-654-2125, 615-724-7999, and 818-670-7720 daily--- some as late as 11:30pm. I have my number in do not call registry. how do these creeps get my info?

I just a got a call from this number and it sounded like a man from India talking about RX. It was muffled and at first I didn't understand. When I called back I got a this number is not in service. We've had this number for 3 years and it's not the name they gave me when they called.

Just got a call, didnt recognize the number so I didnt pick it up. Listened while my answering machine got it and heard a man in the background giving instructions on how to call him back at some extension. Wasnt really clear though.

This is a trunk ID sent from a VOIP Gateway to the phone system. This is what some carriers send (being the Trunk ID) when the callerid is unavailble or blocked.

I was doing dishes when this number called me. So u called the number back literally 1min after they call. I got a recording saying that the number you have called is no longer in service.  You have got to be kidding. This is getting so annoying.

Just missed a call from this number to my cell and I am on the Do Not Call list.
