they just called my house, and the call-waiting beep interrupted my conversation. but they've called before, and no one is ever on the other end!

Call came from Nashville, Tennessee to Kansas at 22:45 hours (illegal)on 11-19-09. Call not answered, and no message left. As noted here, other sites report that they are a radio surveyoer, ask what station they listed to and what type of music they liked.

615-873-2280 called AGAIN. Pick up the phone Nobody there. These fools have been calling about once a week  for at least a month.

Call came in.  I let the answering machine get it.  No one on the line.  Called back...busy.  Began reading others comments on this number, and saw much the same in my case.  Bastages!!!!

When the call comes in, no one is there, when  you call the number back its busy.  I wish they would just stop calling.

Hubbie sleeping - I'm sure this @hole just woke him up.  He has to work at 11:30pm again tonight after having been at work at 5am and working a full day.  Grrrrrrr...  Caller ID said TENNESSEE - noone on the line.  May the fleas of a thousand camels infest their bed!

Eventually they will get caught and fined. Government can only do something that they know about from the consumers.

Received a call this date from 615-873-2280 - they left no message.

I seem o get a lot of these types of calls where no one answers.

received a call from this number.  answered and no one was there.  traced back and it said Tenn.  who is this??

this is a solicitation auto-dialer.  If other callers haven't completed their prior call before your phone connects, you will hear no one on the other end of the line.  Everyone please report this number as solicitation.

Even more annoying are the multiple calls per day I get when they call local numbers my area code.  I have the same last 7 numbers, so people around here just recognize the 873-xxxx and think it's a local call. They ask "Did you just call my number?"  When I tell them no, they say, "Well, it's here on my caller ID.  I didn't know who it was from, but thought I'd try to call you back."  

At first, I thought my number was being used for "spoofing", and submitted a general complaint to FCC and my representatives.  Not much help there, though there have been bills submitted in the past to try to outlaw that practice.  Without knowing the actual number calling, there's no one to actually report.

I finally found someone intelligent enough to tell me they could see it was from a different area code (615), but thought they'd try locally anyway since they could not get an answer at the 615 number (OK, maybe still not quite so intelligent).  

I now know to at least ask the callers to check the area code on their caller ID....probably kinda makes them feel a little stupid (I can only hope)...some of them still have a hard time understanding I did not call them (kin to a box of rocks, I guess).  I do not even have caller ID.  Maybe everyone should cancel their caller ID, especially those who aren't bright enough to even notice the area code is not local.  

My next step is I will submit this number to the FCC as suggested by ibtrukn22.  Will try http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm as suggested.

Last resort is going to be to cancel the land line and just have cell phone service, however spotty reception is in the house.

I received call from this number - when I answered there was no one on the line.  I am disgusted because I receive calls like this quite often.  Caller ID did not identify anything.

Now they have a new deal. I just got a call from "Ashley" from radio something or other.  She has a heavy county accent.  She wanted to know my "favorite kinda music"  I told her alternative rock and then she wanted to know if any one in my house listed to country music.  I told her HELL NO.  She said thank you and hung up

Got the call from this number tonight while making dinner ran to the phone picked it up and as soon as I said hello the hung up, how rude!!!
