They called my cell 6 times yesterday when I was AT WORK so of course I couldn't answer it.

This morning, they called. I answered "Joe's Pizza, would you like a delivery."

She said, "I'm looking for (my first name)." Suspicious as hell, I cringed.

I said, "No one here by that name. Did you want a delivery?"

She laughed, "No, I have the wrong number."

Damn right you do, skippy.

they are at it again with this scam. just got a call about gas cards

Have gotten 7 calls in 2 days from this number.  The first several times I did not answer and they did not leave a message.  I got a call today from an unknown number and answered - they tried telling me I had made a purchase and qualified for gas rebates that would be arriving in the mail any day and that my account would be charged $2.95 for shipping, but could cancel the "program" at any time within 30 days.  I hung up when they asked me to verify my card information.  I called back from a blocked number and was routed directly to a message that said "we have been trying to reach you to confirm an order you have made" but they gave no company name or ability to talk to a real person.  I reported the events to my bank.  Never give anyone your account number or card numbers, anyone can get the last 4 digits and they will use this to try to get you to give them the rest.

Scam call, how can these be blocked?

I got this phone #616-980-1152 calling me yesterday and told them I am not interest and hung up.  And those idiots are calling me today constantly.  Maybe I should sent them a dictionary so they can see what NO means.  I would really like to know how they got our info and our cc info.

!  Would highly encourage people getting calls from Vista (I've gotten them in Alaska from Michigan number 616-980-1152 and from a blocked number the woman said was Florida) to file complaints with the following if they feel the practices are deceptive (which I did):

I would be very concerned about senior citizens who get these calls.  The callers are slick and the whole script gives you the impression they are calling from your credit card company.  They know your name, your town, and the last four digits of your credit card -- giving you the impression they are calling from your card company.  If you happen to have a VISA (instead of a Mastercard), when they identify themselves as VISTA, it's easy to hear "VISA".  My next step is to determine if my credit card information was sold to VISTA by a company I did business with...if so, they are next on my list for a serious discussion.

Received 3 calls since yesterday.  The 1st from 231-732-2735 which I ignored, the 2nd one from an unknown number and I just answered the 3rd call from an unknown number. Caller identified himself as Wes from Vista Services regarding a recent Visa purchase.  Told me that about some gas rebate certificates that were on their way to me then he asked to confirm my address.  Being suspicious, I asked for a number where I could reach him and of course he couldn't provide it so I told him to get lost and hung up.

When you call 231-732-2735 you get some bogus message about an order you placed . . . yada, yada, yada!!

Big time scam!!

I just called (727) 232-8500 and was passed on to a "manager" who identified himself as John Rykert.  Claims the company is legit but of course pressed me for my name and contact information so he could take me off the list. And forgot to mention in my earlier post . .. "Wes" told me the rebate certficates were in the mail, but then he asked to confirm my address ... hmmmm . . . seems back asswards to me!

Be Aware!!

I get calls from this number every few days.  No messages left & I won't answer phone when it comes up.

These are telemarketing scammers, playing on elderly and unimformed to the projected amount of $25 million this year!


If you want to fight fire with fire at Vista Marketing, then send them mail, pizzas, buses and all manner of spam at their personal residences.  The officers of the corporation are: Frank Burkett, Tom Burkett and Scott Wostbrock. Their reported HOME addresses are:
