Saturday AM 8.30  - scam call

Same Number in the last 5 dyas every day starting at 8  goe's to 8:45 pm this has got to stop

Its amazing how many people have absolutely no debt, yet get collection calls. Liars!!!

its a collection agency. CCI or something, the woman kept mumbling the name of the company but said everything else clearly.

Its not a scam its a Collections Agency called CCS from Newton Mass; they're probably just calling you if you have an overdue NSTAR bill or your girlfriend did at your old apartment and made the mistake of calling and paying their bill on their behalf once or twice. Utilities keep records folks

I just got a new AT&T cell phone yesterday and this morning the 1st call I got on it was from (617) 581-1061 and no one was on the other end then I heard it hangup, so I called it back and it was a deth collector tring to collect on deths that are unpaid, Told him I just got this cell phone and number yesterday so he said sorry and will correct his records and take it off there list.

Hey Habib - some of us get calls for previous owners of phone numbers, you jerk! My father died over 5 years ago and I get calls for him on my home phone, none of which are for collection agencies. Not everyone has debt you know. I can honestly say I have none except for my mortgage, which is fine.

3 calls from this number and I go to answer it and the message is recorded, warped and pretty darn scary. If it is a collection agency, then they need to fix their warbled recording. If I continue to get these calls, I am going to change my landline number. Obviously they change their numbers when they cannot get thru.

Do what I do:  when you see an unusual number come up on the caller ID answer the phone and start off with "hello, this call is being recorded.  how may I help you?"  Totally legal and I have yet to have someone NOT then hang up on me.

This is ridiculous.
I've been getting calls from this number for MONTHS, at all hours of the day & night. I usually don't answer, and they don't leave voicemail. On the rare occasion that I actually pick up by mistake, I have to say "hello?" about 3 times before they say anything. They ask for me, but they pause, as if going down a list of names before pronouncing it wrong (it's pretty basic) I say "who's calling, please?" as I always do for unknown callers, and she says "it's a business matter, I can only tell (my name) who I am. Are you him? (I'm female, and don't sound remotely masculine). I tell them I'm on the do not call registry and that I've ALREADY INFORMED THEM OF THAT and that if they can't tell me who they are, I can't tell them who I am, and I hang up. I'm so sick of it.

No message and has called 6 times the day

This phone number called and left no message. From reading prior messages here; it appears prank. I don't owe anyone nor do I have any kind of credit cards.  Wish this number would stop....

Just got a call from this number - man would not give me any information because he said he was calling for a relative of mine , he sounded very shifty

I have been receiving up to 2 dozen calls per day  for the last 8 months.  Calls start as early as 5am and continue throughout the day as late as 10pm.  When I answer, either no one is on the other end of the call and there are no recorded messages or I get a message already in progress.  When I return the call it is a debt collection service but no one can find my name on file and they state my name does not match the phone number they are calling (mine).   They are looking for a person who owned my cell number before me.  I continually ask them to remove me from their call list but they refuse.  Apparently they are convinced I am the person they are looking for.  I filed a complaint with the FCC and suggest everyone else does too.    The harassment is unbearable!  https://esupport.fcc.gov/ccmsforms/form1088.action?form_type=1088D

Yeah for all who says this is collection agency, it's not. Because I have 0 outstanding payments, I just checked my credit report. So it's not a collection agency because I simply wouldn't have one call me, I don't owe anything besides credit cards. But I checked to make sure and I was right. So if it was a collection agency then they are calling me which makes no sense, so it's a scam. Check you credit score if you think you owe something, only way a collection agency would know you owe money is if the affiliation that claims you owe money to has to file that first and it reflects on your credit, your credit score shows you who you owe money to essentially. Don't answer this number.

Thing is this isn't a CCS. This place from where they call NEVER leaves any messages & no one is NEVER on the other side of the line. It's entirely silence on the other end of the call. Ik for sure its a fake company & its a scam.
