Been receiving phone calls from this number and variations of it. Caller ID says Eagle American. I tell them I'm not interested when they say I have won since I know I haven't entered any contest in AZ since I live in NM!!! Guess from all these postings I've read maybe I need to contact our state's attorneys office. Looks like they may be scamming here also,

Thank you for posting this number. The other number from Mad did not work.
I got a phone call yesterday asking me something about movies..multiple choice. Of course my answer was correct. The lady named Hazine gave me a confirmation number. I didn't give it any thought. Minutes ago, a lady named Marnie from Eagle System said I won and there is nothing to pay because this is promotion that their company does 4 times a year. Since I don't have carpeting, I opted the furniture cleaning. I kept on asking "what is the catch?" She said nothing. Unlike the rude ones, Marnie is very gracious, polite, and convincing. After I  gave them my name and address I started to feel scared. So I googled it up and lo and behold I found this blog. I immediately called the number from Mad..but failed..so I dialed the number you gave and BINGO. The man that answered was not rude in anyway but was not really happy about the cancellation. Again, thank you for your blog.

They called my mom and convinced her she could have either free carpet cleaning or a food processor.   My mom figured she could get a free food processor and scheduled the appointment for them to come out the next day and she told me about it the night before.   First, in this economy, what reputable business is going to give away a food processor and drive all the way out to where they live?  NONE!  I checked online and found this blog - THANK GOD!  Very glad to have seen someone had performed extensive research of the phone numbers - Very concerned over the one posting where it was a cell phone coming from central phoenix - Also concerned hearing about the unmarked, blue van with multiple guys sitting outside smoking while one of the "salesmen" was trying to talk his way into a woman's home.   I called my mother back and advised her of these posts - she called the police and was told by the Phoenix PD "do not" let them in under any circumstance!  Thanks to everyone that posted here.

Salesman Kevin Morgan from E.A.K. systems on Lone Cactus in Phx was very persistent in trying to over charge my father for a Kirby.  My father called me since I am in control of all of his finances.  My father told me that he wasn't going to buy the vacuum.  I spoke with Kevin on the phone and asked him to please pack his vacuum and leave the property.  He refused! I had to have the Police to go escort him off the property.  Kevin Morgan was trying to convince an elderly man (with no access to money or credit cards) to sign a contract for a vacuum. He was able to get the social security number and drivers license number from my father.  (Giving this information to a stranger is a good way to have identity theft problems). The sales price was to be $2500 at 25.98% interest.  This would have been a purchase of $3500.  There was absolutely no reason for the interest to be 25.98% for someone with perfect credit.  Kevin Morgan was trying to scam the elderly that didn't know any better.  Kevin Morgan had no plans to leave until he saw 2 police cars drive into the drive.  At this time he quickly packed up most of his belongings and quickly agreed to leave.

Eagle Systems calls from 623-240-4017 to congratulate me on winning a daily prize of free carpet cleaning services. This call has telemarketer stink all over it. I toy with her and ask pesky questions to see if she will crack. Like, "Who did you say entered my phone number in this wonderful contest?" She evades answering and persists with scripted questions designed to obtain permission to send people to my home. After a few minutes of wasting her time I told her to offer my "prize" to some other lucky sucker. You should do the same.

rec call from Robin 623-240-4043 told her I wasn't interested in her company and to remove me from calling list. She said someone from my household wanted service told her its my phone, my house, and I don't want whatever she is selling or giving away. Told her not to call back again and hung up,  before I could put her on my block calling list she called back and tried to speak to me I told her I didn't want her calling my home, and if she continued I would sue under the AZ state law. She told me she had a right to call, and hoped I had a better day. Hung up and put her on my block list.

Hello I recently had a very pleasant experience with eagle American Kirby systems. I was called and offered a free carpet shampoo and I accepted. At first I was skeptical of a stranger coming to my house but I let them come anyways and then found out it was Kirby. I hadn't seen a Kirby in years. So I let the salesman Thomas demonstrate his machine. And it was amazing and he gave me a deal I couldn't refuse so we bought one and we love it. He want high pressure at all. I use to think door to door salesman were bad people but Thomas was very professional and I refereed to some of my best friends.

Vacuum salesmen tried to ‘con’ residents

Report By James Franklin , Reporter
    Thursday, December 23, 2010
    11:00 AM

ANGRY residents have told how vacuum cleaner salesmen tried to ‘con’ them in their own homes.

Gwendolin Worboys, a 75-year-old widow from Yatton, said two salesmen stayed in her home for over five hours before she finally agreed to buy a vacuum cleaner – even though she said she did not need one.

And Teresa Harding, aged 47, from Clevedon, said she had to physically throw one of the salesmen out of her home after he refused to leave.

The company, Premier Systems GB Limited, and its director have been found guilty of 11 consumer protection offences relating to three separate incidents, and fined $15,000.

Both Ms Worboys and Mrs Harding received cards through their letterboxes saying they had a free carpet cleaning voucher which they could exchange.

Ms Worboys said: “I accepted the free trial, thinking that it would just be one person coming round to do one of my rooms, but when my doorbell rang it was two salesmen, one aged around 20 and the other around 25.

“They turned up at 2.30pm, which was half an hour late, but I couldn’t get rid of them until eight in the evening.”

She added that, having cleaned the carpet in one of her rooms, the pair then went into her bedroom, stripped her bed and told her that the mattress was ‘dirty’ and would need cleaning.

Ms Worboys said the pair did not leave her property until she had agreed to buy an industrial Kirby vacuum cleaner for $1,400 – much more than it is worth. She added: “I feel conned. All they were doing was trying to pressure vulnerable people into buying things they didn’t want.”

Mrs Harding, of Braikenridge Close, said: “A salesman came to my house after I claimed the voucher, but I cottoned on quite quickly that he wasn’t really there to do the carpet cleaning.

“He started trying to push a vacuum cleaner, and was saying he had gotten it down to a really good price.

“Even though I said I wasn’t interested, he started to become a bit aggressive about it, and I literally had to physically remove him from the house as he wouldn’t stop.

At a hearing at Hereford Magistrates Court on December 10, the company was found guilty on one misleading commercial practice relating to Ms Worboys and Mrs Harding each, and its director, Kenvyn Pobjoy, was convicted on three director offences relating to Ms Worboys and one relating to Mrs Harding.

my 82 year old mom got a call from Mark @ eagle american today telling her she had won a sweepstakes, he offered her several prizes:  carpet cleaning, food processor, and finally a coffee maker which she agreed to accept.  He told her he would deliver it later in the day.  When I walked into the house about 10 mins later my mom was having 2nd thoughts and I was horrified at the idea of some stranger showing up at her home.  We looked up the company online and found this site.  I attempted to "call back" and cancel using several different phone numbers but couldn't get an answer at any of them.   As my mom lives in a gated community i called the front gate and alerted them  to the situation and that we were NOT giving permission for any "guests" to enter.

We went out from about 4-5 pm, and when we got home there was a hang up call from a blocked number.  At 5:30 the phone rang and i answered.  It was "mark" saying they would be delivering my "food processor" now.  I thanked Mark for calling and told him I had been trying to reach him all afternoon, but that none of the numbers worked, and I was sorry, but we were not interested in any prizes or visitors.

He wanted to know "why?"  I explained that he had talked with my mom earlier, but that she had changed her mind, especially since she had not entered any sweepstakes.

Mark  insisted that the person "was already there" and that he had no way to contact him and cancel the visit.  Mark suggested that when the man arrives, I talk to him, explain the situation and tell him to call the office.   (really?  on what phone? since supposedly he couldn't be contacted?).   I continued to say that I didn't want anyone coming to our home, and Mark told me that "well, I guess you could just not answer the door when he rings the bell, but you really owe him the courtesy of an explanation" and then he hung up on me!

That was about an hour ago.  I have had no further calls from mark or eagle american, and no calls from the security guard at the gate, so I'm hoping they just decided to stay away!

I did send an email to kirby headquarters through their webpage, just asking that we be taken off their call list if possible.
