The lastest is that they have a block of numbers, 623-240-4010 thru 623-240-4025, maybe more.  They also clone their name on Caller ID.  Sometimes Eagle American, but also Eagle Systems.

Got a call just a few minutes ago. I Googled the company name Eagle American Systems while she was talking. Found out about them, told her I wasn't interseted and then she said she was with Kirby. I told her 4 times "Good luck, I'm not interested" and she kept talking, insisting in calling me "hun" and so I had to hang up eventually!

American Eagle Kirby just called again ... so far this week with three different phone numbers:
623-516-0614;  623-434-6783;  623-580-7109.  The last one shows up as a paving contractor in Phoenix if itis Googled.  Clearly American Eagle Kirby is cloning phone numbers in an attempt to stay one foot ahead of law enforcement agencies.

I've been on the DNC list since early 2009 - certainly more than enough time for Eagle American Kirby to have noticed my number on that list, since they are 'required' to check that least at least every 31 days (?).

American Eagle Kirby is a distributor for the Kirby Company.  I've contacted the Kirby company about this distributor and they claimed they are aware of the issues and working towards a resolve.  Uh-huh ... an easy resolve is to terminate their contract with that distributor, but I guess that is just too easy.

I have notified the Arizona State Attorney General's office as well, and the local TV stations via email.

Our phone systems are being overrun by illegal activities day in and day out - We, as a consumer should not have to 'opt out' for something we never 'opted in' for in the first place.  The new rules are so out of line ... seems we are automatically 'opted in' for anything these days and that is so very wrong.

I wait for the day when American Eagle Kirby gets whats coming to them

3 males came to my home today. We were leaving and we have cameras on our home. I thought I better look at the cameras on my phone. As soon as I did, there was one of the males inside our court yard at our front door. He was pounding on the door and kept ringing the doorbell. My husband drove as fast as he could back home. Thank goodness we had our little dog with us. He had a duffle bag with him and I kept seeing him reach in it as we were driving home. When we arrived home, we both got out of the car and asked him what he was doing on our property. He said "are you Mr. & Mrs. Short? We said no and he forcefully asked us who we were. I told him we are the homeowners. He said he had a Food Processor for us and he was from SunWest Company. I said "who delivers a food processor in person"? He asked our name again and we refused to tell him. I told him it was none of his business. We told him again to get off our property. He said he wasn't leaving until he talks to Mr. & Mrs. Short. He claimed he was from the Kirby Co and said "don't you know what Kirby is"? We again told him to leave and he refused. Then he said we were attacking him. Attacking him???? By asking him to get off our property??? Luckily our Board President was driving by and told these people we are not Mr. & Mrs. Short. He started yelling at them and they told them to leave. We live in a 72 custom home community and we have signs posted up front at the entrance that says "Private Property" and "No Soliciting", plus we have security signs in our yard and cameras on the front and back of our home that are clearly visible. I told him I was calling 911 and when I tried to take a picture if their license plate (which we already had written down), the guy stood in front if it and took off. I called 911 and they told me this is a scam that has been going around I couldn't believe it. They probably saw us leave and were going to break in. Luckily we have cameras. I went online to do some research and found a lot of complaints on SunWest and Eagle. People please beware if this. These people are scammers and if it does have anything to do with Kirby Vacuums, shame on them. Do not open the door to anyone you don't recognize. We live in Glendale, AZ and see a lot of theft here but nothing like this. So sad.

Regular vac company's are who you should be worried about Kirby is a great product made in America and we coming to your home and show you what the machine does unlike Dyson to get you to buy it from what you see on TV with some wacky guy with the accent and it has a lifetime warranty you wouldn't buy a car without taking it for a test drive would you so why buy a piece of plastic crap it doesn't do its job nobody scamming you its just a sales technique that gets us in the home and shows you what the product actually does in what you're spending your American made money on

    Mr Kirby -

Your comment reflected the aggressive, defensive attitude of your sales staff.

Aggressive phone calls and threatening visits are not the way to earn respect of consumers, but are an excellent way of besmirching the reputation of Kirby products.  I don't doubt that physical confrontations are a means of forcing your way into people's homes, enabling your agents to intimidate elderly consumers into signing up for products or services.  That sales technique is closer to time share methods than legitimate sales techniques.  In this day of Stand a Your Ground, a threatening approach toward a homeowner could have disastrous results.

Out of curiosity, I usually check the manufacturer of the vacuums and other portable equipment used in hotels.   If it can take the daily abuse of hotel use, in home use it will last forever.  We've stayed at the various Mandarin hotels (DC & NYC), Fairmont (Vancouver, DC), and the Carleton (DC, , surely they could afford Kirby equipment, but they don't choose to do so.  Why is that?

As for Dyson products, we've never had a problem with the portable handheld, other than the need to frequently recharge the battery.  The Dyson was a gift, a much appreciated gift.

In the past, I've been open to the idea of Kirby products.  With the manufacturer condoning your methods, that attitude has changed.

    Sparrow, no, starling, no, 'iggle'

Americans tend to buy from reputable businesses.  A company could have the best product in the world, but if they presented their product in a disreputable manner, used high pressure, misspoke, and tried to intimidate people into spending many times the value of a product plus painful interest, that would be the reputation of the company.

You foolishly deny the use of gimmicks, cloned and false phone numbers, and the promise of a 'free gift.'   Yes, to an 80-year-old retiree, a 20-something intimidating them is 'ohhh sooo scary.'   I am sure your grandparents and parents guilelessly open the door to every person that wanders down the street.  When it takes the presence of the Police to get your 'representatives' to leave, it is 'ohhh sooo scary.'
