I received this call too, it kept calling almost 4 times a day since 25 June 2012 till now, when I pick up the caller went silent, any way to block this scam call from ace insurances ?

This is from CITI Bank  / ACE Insurance. They are trying to sell the insurance. Originator could be from Singapore or India or Philippines.

This [***] or [***] keeps calling my kid number for the whole week.
Called Singtel to complain and they will make a report. Singtel informed it's a company registered number so it's definitely not some young kids doing prank at home. Many people have called up Singtel to complain.
I will make a police report if this continues..

Nothing to do, then go and jump into Bedok Reservoir or MBS top level and get blown down. Don't irritate people !!!! Go rot in hell !!!

I got this call as well.. any way to stop them from calling, they really nothing to do so irriating.

got called from this number many times in this month. Every time it only rings once or twice; then it stops even before I got time to pick up. This is no even ring tone when I call back, similar to what others said on this forum. I was fast enough only once to pick up the phone, and the other end said "this is lily...behalf of citibank. Is it good time to talk..." I said it's ok although my surrounding may be noise (since I was in a MRT train); then the other end hanged the phone. I guess the calls are from some Telemarketers for some banks; their behaviors are quite rude and annoying.

simple solution for that jidiot singaporean, just disconnect your phone.. get it?

This number calls me 3 times a day on consecutive days. Thank goodness for iBlacklist on iPhone.

I got this too, called back and was not picked up.

Ya.. received this call numerous time in the past as well.
Would suggest to install a call filter app on your smartphone (if you're using one)  and add to your blacklist.
I just received it again.. 9 blocks!!
Dont worry.. you phone wont ring. It just hangs up the call immediately when your phone receives this number.

I've received multiple calls from this number.. it's to the point where i saved it as a contact on my list and name it as 'do not pick up'. haha! The last time i picked up, it was a telemarketer from Maybank and that person does not understand what it means by 'I AM NOT INTERESTED' and kept calling.

I've seen on other websites that this number is linked to Ace Insurance Singapore. I speculate that they are being paid per call so as a result no need to talk just call and hang up. If not why would anyone be so free to call hundreds of numbers a day and keep their mouth shut?

Well said! I've been trying to identify this number as well and it seems quite a number of websites link the number 63099050 to Ace Insurance Singapore. I have a strong feeling they are being paid to make calls. Does not matter how long the calls are. So if paid per call.. then call and hang up. If not why would anyone be so bloody free to call and hang up! I'm going to call Singtel every day and if they want me to stop then they jolly well do something about it!

I just received the call. It's from Ace Insurance on behalf of Citibank. Selling insurance. OK, he is in my reject list.

The Ace insurance company using this number has another number 6505 5458, sells medical insurance from Standard Chartered. Gave me 8 missed call within 5 hours.

Today got my first 63099050 call and missed it. Tried calling back and similar experience as above so went to the internet and found this threat. At least I understand now it is spam. The solution is relatively simple though (I have a Samsung Galaxy S2), I added the phone number to the reject list.Alternatively there are apps for Android and iPhone who can do that and I remember that older phones had a call barring option...
