This number keeps calling me and when you answer there is no one there I want it to stop.

You are all morons. I'll sum it up for you. The "do not call" registry doesn't work. Instead of threatening a charity, ask them to take your name off the list. No wonder the world if full of hate, greed and corruption. You all are ignorant [***] for threatening a charity. I donate clothes to them all the time and all they have been is polite and sincere.

I just received the call today January 5, 2015 at 4:02 pm. I did not respond and as soon the answer machine goes on, hang up. It seems I got a call back in December 3, 2015. Is this number calling once a month exactly. I have my numbers in the DO NOT CALL LIST so I don't understand how come the calls goes thru. In my phone screen shows as BBBSLI stands for Big Brother Big Sister - Long Island.

This number calls me multiple (2-4) times daily. If you dont pick up they dont leave a message. If you tell them you have nothing to donate, they still call.  I don't know how to get them to stop as they are exempt from the Do Not Call Lost as are all charities. Ive had enough of their harassment, and because of this I will never donate to them.

Agreed.  I will donate clothes to any organization but BBBSLI because of their annoying daily phone calls.

They may be a "wonderful organization" but they are not making any friends with their aggressive marketing tactics.  I donate clothes regularly and will give to any organization but them.

Keep calling scumbags !!!!!! You'll just alienate yourselves from everyone on Long Island !!!!!! Your organization uses illegal tactics under the guise of a charity all you are is just a harassment to everyone you call !!!  Please people do not donate anything to this unscrupulous organization!!!!!!!

This person or business, has called me several time in the morning, but hasn't ever left a message.

No one spoke the phone just hung up

I was receiving daily calls from this number, hung up every time I answered, never left a message if it went to voice mail.  Finally called, they answered with "Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Long Island". Seems legit, but the endless hangups were enough. The man who answered was very polite and agreed to take my number off the list.  We shall see.

They don’t call for cash donations but to let you know when the truck will be in your area and if you have in-kind donations like vclothing, books, other Items for their store they will schedule a pickup and take an inventory and guide you on how to prepare whatever you are donating  so it can all be picked up. They make most of their money on selling these in kind donations.

Get 3 to 4 calls a day.  This is Big Brothers & Sisters.  Although I have answered at times and told them that I will call them when I have something, I continue to get calls.
