Received several calls, up to twice daily, from these guys.  They say they are a research firm taking a survey for a bank, so the "Do Not Call" list does not apply to them.  They continued to call after I directly requested with their agent to cease and desist.  It wasn't until I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau did they stop.  You can find them by by going to the New York BBB:

    http://www.newyork.bbb.org

    MKTG Inc.
    200 Carleton Avenue
    East Islip, NY 11730

If you are being annoyed by these guys, file a complaint people.  Or else this will continue forever.

You want the calls to stop? I forward my calls to 800 Directory because my cell phone does not have a blocking feature. This usually works. If they are real tough to get rid of then I'll have to really play hardball.... I don't think they want that. Hardball= I'll then forward my calls to the closest police station or even worse the nearest FBI office!!!!! Ah ha!!

It's not ok! replies to it'sok
If someone keeps calling when you tell them not to and calls a cell phone which shouldn't be allowed, then this obviously isn't ok.
To say it was fun is very strange, I'm guessing that you work for them.

It sounds like a waste of time. If they want people to fill out a survey then they should do it online and pay people to do it.

MKTG is contracted with HSBC  bank to conduct a customer satisfaction survey among premiere customers (More than $100,000 on deposit).  It's amazing to me that people ignore these calls then complain when they get a call back.

These people are a**holes! They called me Monday (during dinnertime) and I didn't answer, about an hour later they called again and I answered telling them I wasn't interested and not to call back. He said in a pissy voice "can't do that, we'll talk to you later" and now continue to call daily. I'd report but I don't know who to report them too.

When MKTG calls and asks to speak to a specific person then NO ONE else has he right to decline except the person they're asking to speak to. That person provided  the number in some way usually when they registered to vote (this is public information that is sold by many states to legitimate organizations; go look it up if you don't believe it) and by doing so they are saying they wish to participate in political surveys and by called by political groups. What gives another person in the household the right to decline for someone else? NOTHING. Consider this. Can a person go to the voting polls and vote in someone else's stead? Of course not. Please don't answer WE don't wish to participate when they ask to speak to someone else. They didn't ask to speak to YOU. They are just trying to protect the rights of the called person to participate in the political process.

Look, I get that calls are annoying but coming from someone who can find no other job than this one, it is just as annoying to be cursed at on the phone. Consider that when you decide to yell at someone on the phone who is calling you for a survey, they are more likely to put you down for more phone calls. Most of us are happy to remove you from the list as long as you just act like a person and respectfully decline. I understand you might not want our calls but as you can obviously see from the posts, we aren't aiming our calls at any one person or group. Other companies hire us to make the calls so they can get info and better market their products. Most of our surveys take 5-10 minutes.......which when you think about it, isn't that long. 70% of the time you don't even qualify for the survey anyway based on the way you answer a question. And finally, next time you decide to think poorly of the person calling you for one of these, remember that they are just trying to make a living by doing something that they probably dislike as much as you do and so there is no reason to act angrily towards the caller.
