Getting random calls like this frequently

Heart patient receiving calls at 2 am and  all times of the day. Missed calls. disturbing sleep. No one answers. Call back results in "all circuit
busy". Want it stop now.

no answer when I pick up.

Wanted to share with everyone that I once had a computer-based PBX Phone System and someone kept calling from the same number without leaving any messages. Next thing I knew, a sophisticated hacker group from the Philippines had broken into my phone system and started selling people international calling routed through my computer to destinations all over the world! They quickly racked up over $50,000 in fees before I caught it. It took me 5 years and much heartache to finally get all the long distance companies to credit back the charges to my phone account (the hacker team apparently used special dialing codes to route their international calls through my line using every long distance company you can think of, not just the one I signed up for).

At the end, I had to give up my main business phone number and suffered ruined credit for years until it was all cleared up. I don't know if the guy who posted above is correct that this is also a hacking team but I STRONGLY RECOMMEND that everyone who's been getting repeat calls from this number with no voicemails left immediately do the following:

1) Block this number

2) Turn off international dialing access from your phone line (so they can't route it back out again)

3) Change your voicemail passwords to the strongest, hardest to guess passwords you are allowed to use with your current system. They break in by using computers to guess your voicemail password, then try to use your system to route their incoming calls back outward to many many international destinations.

I hope no one has to go through what I did.

Got a call this morning from this number and I didn't pick it up.

We have a few call centers across the country. We have many toll free numbers for our clients to call us on. Since the middle of October we have received thousands of phone calls from 646-558-2000.

The calls come in an have just dead air on them after we answer. Has any other business had this issue lately or has someone with a toll free number had this issue?

I just got a call from them, but everytime I don't a number I just don't pick up.  If it's smth important they might leave me a msg but since not...I just don't pick up  :)

Person calls with threating vm.  Than tells me that I need to give them my debit card number.  3 digit number on the back.  And the date they they can withdraw the $$ from my account.  

Tells me to get a lawyer

I missed a call for this number on my 888 number.
They didn't leave a message

It's a number Skype uses when someone calls from their computer, just like 0001234567.

Same to me... I am located in Quebec, Canada and I use Skype as regular phone calling in my business. We got this number as the calling one when calling a regular phone number. It is not the only one; but all those Skype calling numbers seems to be from NYC.

Looked at my phone bill and saw a 60.0 minute call for $9.17!
Says the call was at 12:26 pm

I remember hearing that prison inmates can call you and if you pick up or your voice mail does it can reverse their charges to you! Then they can call anywhere for free.

Had a call from them last night (Sun) at 10:30 pm.  Glad I didn't get to the phone on time.  A missed call no VM.  I will add them to my block list.

Thanks for the locator info. I get many calls from that (646)588-2000. I only get one or two rings late at night or early in the morning what in the world is this ..........Idiot doing ringing all these number for ?????????

They called asking for my date of birth and social security number, otherwise, they will kidnap my wife.  I am not marries.  What is wrong with these people.  I am reporting this number to the police.

I've been getting calls from this number and they ask for me by name and then ask if my husband is available. I tried to call back but the phone did not even ring!

Do not call my cell phone no more.

Definately VOIP.  My girl in the Philippines just called me and I didn;t answer thinking it a scam.  But still, anyone can use it. Recommend answering only if you know someone who'd call from outside the US.
