Got several calls, finally got live person.  They were trying to sell services for Bank of America credit card.

This number call every single day for the last three or more months. I would not answer call from anyone that I don't know. They don't leave message. Annoying but since I can turn off the phone, I guess that my only option right now.

Call 2-3 times daily.  Use to get calls from them 10-20 times daily but have since died down a bit to 2 or 3.  I called the number and left a message to remove my number and stop Harrasment or proper authorities willl be involved.  Harrasment via phone from my understanding is punishable and can be won in court for up to $1200 in damages...the call is labeled haraasment once it reaches more than twice daily.  Again, this is just what I heard but it sound more like a class action can be taken against these companies that bother us for no reason during the later hours of what is to be a relaxing evening.  Maybe the government should get involved like they have everything else.  It may just be easier to cancel land line service period and let providers suffer to the point that they offer the screening call service for free.

Call repeatedly and wouldn't leave a message

Got a call from this number -- of course, since I didn't recognize the #, I didn't answer.  No message left.  If this is a Bank of America related number, it's their typical MO -- I think they're just calling numbers in their database with whom they've had a prior business relationship to see if those numbers are active.  FIA Credit Services (affiliated with BofA) does this as well.  My solution:  Never, ever answer and report the number when possible.

Jul 14, 2009. called me 5 minutes ago. Ad from Canadian tire. is name is Jashua. Wanted to sell me oil and filter change for 99$ and covers 1 year of change! NOT SURE IF IT IS SPAM. Didn't give him credit card number but he called me by last name and have my address. When asked to call him back he gave me a 1-800 number. Ask to call back if you to take their offer. I WILL NOT!

We've been getting calls from this number every single night (at around 7:30 pacific time) for the past 3 or 4 weeks. Answered and got this automated message saying to call "Bank of America at 1 866..." I contacted Bank of America through live chat and the agent said they has no such number. Most likely a fraudulent call trying to get information out of you!

If anyone has a Canadian Tire Mastercard it seems they have sold this information to anyone they can get their hands on. Every weird number that I've received in the last 6 months all has some marketing correlation tracing back to that.

Don't forget, even if you are on the Canadian do not call list, any company that has done business with you in the last 18 months has an exemption and can still call you unless you specifically ask THEM to remove you from their list. All companies are forced to keep an internal do not call list and have 30 days to comply...

Got many calls with no message in recent days and the last call was a barely audible message that I could not understand and appeared like a distress message.

This number (647 288 7825) has been calling me daily for at least 2 weeks, at random times of the day. If you call back it automatically links to extension 4108 which I assume is their auto-dialer or whatever.

If you're being called and answer but nobody is there, it's because they're hanging up on you so they can count the call as completed and get paid for it and move onto the next call quickly.

This company is often contracted by banks, credit card companies, or collection agencies so that's probably how they got your info. Call your providers and opt-out of all call lists.

The company is called Omega Direct, and they have a website (google it). They call you from 647 288 7825 but will seldom answer that if you call back, you'll get a machine. You can also call their general phone number, 416 640 3399, which will connect you with an operator if you press 0. Finally, the head office number is 905 482 3421, which allows you to punch in any extension or browse the directory. Feel free to browse and call anyone in there, and give them a piece of your mind.

I received a call from this number and it didn't leave a message .

A woman just called me from this number. After I said that I was unavailable she asked for my husband by name, I'm a newlywed so there isn't really anything in both of our names. Most of my stuff is still in my maiden name. I'm so tired of scams. It's been non-stop since Jan. 2009. I've already had to change bank accts. and phone numbers. Somehow 'these people' still find a way in.

I am on the Government 'do not call' list. I get calls from this number. I got one today Friday August 28, 2009 at 2:24 pm. Any chance of fining them? It's a computer and when I don't get an answer right away, I hang up. The number now originates from Newfoundland, according to Google.

Caller is a Toronto call service, Omega directory services, or something Omega, they're a marketing company. 647 288 7825
