I have also been a victim of scams from craigslist.  They copied my pictures and my description of the property I am trying to rent and posted it with their contact information and lowered the rent.  They are telling people that they just left the country and cannot show the property but if you western union them $600 they will mail you the keys and you can rent their house.  But its not their house and they don't have any keys to give out.  So many scams...please be careful.

Got the same text but it was from www.edproperties.com.  I texted them back and told them I was living in the projects and which building would they like to buy. lol

All, they have changed their name to "edproperties".
If you fill out there online information, they will get enough info to start picking you apart and gather enough info for some nice fraud action...good luck.

Got a text message in reference to the home we have listed for sale. Obvious it was a scam & they did not want to make an offer as stated. Asked me to send details to their website. BEWARE: when you look at the website it asks questions that are a dead give away that this is a crook at work. "Is you house vacant?" Do not respond. Do not give them ANY info.  Incoming number appears as "67553 (real estate)."

The only source I can think of where someone would have received my number is Craigslist. I received the following message from 65553: "(Real Estate) i'm interested in your property, would like to make cash offer asap. Please give us the quick details at http://www.EdProperties.com." Message was received on Oct 1, 2010 at 6:48 pm.

Same message here too, except mine said  "please give us the quick info at http://www.EdProperties.com"  Sad thing is, I'm a Realtor and know better.  Other people, not so much and could be scammed into something bad.

Got the same message twice today from same number about my property, each directing me to a different website. I just deleted my area code from my listing (and put in the area code parantheses a hint as to what it is, which anyone in the area could figure out), and put my reasoning for doing such.

I hate that this kind of thing happens. Get a real job like the rest of us winners!
