They callled my daughter in laws parents and said there was 2 counts of criminal intent against me for bad checks....I dont write checks.  I checked them out and they are scam group trying to get you to send money with scare tatcticts....I turned them into the FCC

These guys don't quit do they..I just let the answering machine kick in but they never leave a message.
Filed a complaint with the Do Not Call list...

ECB is a debt collector. They call and wont leave a message. I did answer once, I owe them 950 from Verizon and we agreed on paying 1/2 the amount BUT they will only do this over the phone with an electronic check (give them check numbers over the phone) or a credit card. I said NO WAY, i want this in writing they said NO WAY. I said bye bye, lol. They will call again but unless I get it in writing they will not get any money!

I have asked CBE to stop calling me. They were calling me from a different number yesterday,  319-242-7350; I talked to a guy, and he said he will remove my number from their database, now Im getting calls  from this number 678-331-7272. They asking for someone name Marian Perex. I talked to a lady named Krystal, she stated the same information the guy told me yesterday. My number has been removed from their database.

I've been getting this, too.  I work for a state agency and they call on the second line, which I believe is unlisted.  They called with a different number yesterday, I *69'd it and called them.  They said my number was already on the do not call list...Something's fishy...

Download a call/text block app on your cell phone, such as Mobile Manager version 4.2.30.20 and you can block the calls.  It won't stop them from calling, but they get no response.

I've been getting calls from this number for days, no voicemails though. I finally answered today and was hung up on instantly. I called back and went through the prompts to speak with a representative.

I asked for their mailing address and said I'm having my lawyer send a cease and desist letter. They said that they were trying to contact a certain person at this number. To which I told them there was no one here by that name I was then told my number would be removed from their records immediately! I still requested the mailing address so they would know that I was serious. Hope this helps.

These people are lying slime balls.

I complained to the "collections agent" and talked to a supervisor named Tyann Bailey. She told me to call the main office (800) 925-6686 and speak to Tom Lockard.

Lockard did not like getting the call. He said the company was legal but they could not control what was in their dialer. I told him I would sue if they called one more time. He said to give it 48 hours. Sure enough, they called the next morning. I answered "Prostate Clinic" and asked the woman rude things about her anatomy. She got really upset. I told her to go talk to Tom Lockard, as he had a stick up his ass.

That's against the law. No collection agency can call except between 8 am and either 8 or 9 pm, in YOUR time zone. File a formal complaint with the FCC and bust 'em up.

It's easy to beat them folks. Remember this line:

"If they can't connect, they can't collect. Don't answer or return their calls. emails, or letters even if you owe the money. You are not required to provide them any information. They are just a collection agency.

They can not have you arrested. Period. There is no debtors jail in the United States.
Tape all of their phone calls and tell them you are doing so. They hate that. They will not be able to be abusive during the conversation. If tell you you can not tape the call hang up immediately. They are taping, why can't you.
Make a record of all calls or correspondence, emails, letters, etc.
Block the numbers they call from.
Return any letters from any Collection Agency un opened. Just print new mailing labels and reverse them on the same envelope. And make sure you send it to the address where it was sent and NOT to the collection agency it was sent from. They hate that too.
Make sure you insult them during phone conversations as much as possible. Call them losers, scum, bottom feeders, etc. There is nothing they can do about it.
Go to the the reporting agency IE Trans Union, Experian, Equifax, and dispute your claim there. Good chance it will be remove because most of these low life collection agencies do not have proof or can really "validate" the debt, Even if you owe it.
Tell them to take you to court and to make sure they "provide the original instrument or original agreement" to bring to court with your signature to prove that you OWE them money. They will not have it.
Find a lawyer that specializes in collections. They will work for free on your behalf and just take a percentage of any settlement. I made 5 grand this year sitting on my [***] from four FDCPA lawsuits. Easy money from these pukes. They roll over in court and except these setlements as apart of doing business.

They call here once or twice a day.  I have no answering service, but figured what they want.  I never answer so happy ringing.  Screw them and whomever they want!

to block calls on sprint, sign into your sprint account.

1.  There are 3 TABS.. go to the "MY PREFERENCES" tab.
2.  Click on "BLOCK VOICE" and a screen will pop up.
3.  Click on your phone you want to set up blocking on (if you have multiple sprint phones, you can block numbers separately on each line.)
4.  The pop-up change and allows you to manage a list of blocked numbers.
5.  Enter numbers and hit SAVE when done, then close the pop-up.

This is just for voice calls.  You have to block text messages separately.

This number keeps calling my cell phone. I do not answer calls that I do not know. Who are these guys. I owe no money so I doubt it is a collection agency.

I had no trouble calling them and having my number removed. I had never heard of the name they were asking for before today but they were not rude at all.  Obviously if you owe money, its just their job to collect :)
