    DONT PAY 4 A REFUND
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/phones/stop-spam-texts#premium

    Premium rate messages: Text "STOP"

These are sometimes called 'reversed billed' messages. It's where you get charged for receiving a text to your phone and is becoming more and more common - normally for subscription services such as ringtones, or weather/news updates.

Often you will have signed up for these services in the past, but subsequently forgotten or not cancelled. The cost can run into £100s, so act quickly to avoid paying a fortune.
    How to stop them?

Here you should reply STOP or STOP ALL, in order to block future messages from that company.

This should work, but if the messages keep a-comin', use PayPhonePlus's Number Checker. Simply enter the number and it'll give you contact details for the company, which you can use to request they stop the messages. Alternatively get in touch with your network provider ie, O2, Vodafone etc and ask them to stop the messages.

If this fails and you're still tearing your hair out, the final stage is to get in touch with the premium rate regulator PhonePayPlus and it'll investigate your complaint.

    Get your money back?

Sending texts to people who have explicitly specified they don't want them is unlawful. Unfortunately, you'll only be entitled to a refund if you DIDN'T subscribe to the service.

Failing to 'opt-out' of messages - where you fill in a form which automatically signs you up to a premium text service, unless you specifically tick or untick a box - doesn't count as subscribing to the service. You must actively sign up before they can legitimately send texts that charge.

If you're sure you never signed up for the premium texts, don't delete the message. You may need the details later. You can try to get a refund for any charges incurred through PhonePayPlus which regulates this industry. Follow this quick two-step process.

    Find the texter's details:

Use PhonePayPlus's number checker to garner as much info as you can about the message sender

    Register your complaint

Online: Use its ready-made online claim form, then PhonePayPlus will investigate your case for a refund, then write to you with its outcome and, if you've won, how to get your money back.

    or

    Telephone: on 0800 500 212 (Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pm)

PhonePayPlus will ask the provider for proof that you have signed up to receive the service. If there is any doubt then they can order the firm to refund you. In cases of serious harm the firm can be fined up to £250,000 and barred from operating a premium rate service.DONT PA

TORRENT OF FILTH FROM BLUESTREAM MOBILE
    JANUARY 11, 2012

If you sent a sick text message like "Your S**T of a mrs on webcam...haha!!" to someone at random, you'd rightly be considered a pervert.

But text that message to thousands of people and you're an entrepreneur, apparently, like Jonathan Cresswell of Bluestream Mobile.

This sordid company made nearly £500,000 by sending messages like that to mobile numbers on a marketing list he'd bought.

Some of the names on the list hadn't given their consent to receive this filth - but Bluestream hadn't checked, according to the watchdog PhonepayPlus.

Cresswell's lawyers tell us that "our client was not running the company at the relevant time" - but since he was the sole director, we wonder what he was being paid to do.

Bluestream has just been fined £35,000 by PhonepayPlus and admits on its website: "We do occasionally get it wrong."
Occasionally? In 2008 we told how the company in Marlow, Bucks, aimed its Free 4 U premium-rate mobile phone service at magazines read by children, claiming there was "100 per cent free access" but still charging. The regulator called the company "willful, or at least reckless".

Later that year it sent unsolicited messages to potential customers offering adult videos. People who texted the reply "STOP" to opt out of this junk were charged £1.50 anyway. It was fined £25,000 with an extra £5,000 fine because of its appalling track record.

In 2010 PhonepayPlus received hundreds of complaints over another vile Bluestream venture billed as an "adult Facebook" - though it used a different four letter word
    beginning with "F".

Victims told how it was impossible to click off the site and you ended up being charged even if you didn't download any images. This time the company was fined £50,000, one victim of the scam telling the watchdog that each attempt to exit the site simply resulted in him being sent another bill.

The victim said: "They have blatantly designed a site to mislead its users into being charged extortionate amounts of money which the consumer is not clear about, and take advantage of customers who may feel, owing to the site's contents, slightly more reserved in complaining.

"Having spoken to customer services I was told that there was nothing they could do, and that they were not interested and that they would not make any refund." Antiphony Ltd, another Cresswell operation, was fined £50,000 in 2009 over its "Adult Sex Exchange" which sent unwanted costly texts, and £75,000 in March 2010 for failing to put in place
safeguards to prevent further, similar problems.

Cresswell, 35, resigned from Bluestream in November, moving on to a firm called Mobjizz - slogan: "Monetise your adult mobile affiliate traffic today."

The firm's new directors are Australians Gregory McCann and Ian Rodwell and we asked them if Bluestream will be any cleaner under them, but had no reply.

So we'll quote from their website: "We are only human and with such a broad range of
services and advertising, not to mention the sheer volume of constantly shifting regulatory compliance, mistakes do very occasionally happen. That we put right and learn from these mistakes is the most important factor."

But that's the trouble - they never do seem to learn from their mistakes.

How much are the Networks pocketing from this ongoing Network/Bluestream fraud?

can't believe all the messages and threads online about this number! I read a post on another site where someone got charged 1200 in a month and still haven't got it back from anyone.

My suggestion.. CHANGE YOUR NUMBER IMMEDIATELY!

yes it sucks to change your number but the network providers can't block the number or promise you anything. all they do is tell you to call the number thats on the text which as everyone says does F@@@ all!

i got 9 within about 5 minutes and panicked straight away as on contract, i only clicked on the site looked at one page and closed it didnt agree to anything.

the way i see it better to change your number straight away than wonder in a month why you didnt and it costs you a grand!

the company name i got from orange i cant remember but it wasn't the same as this thread and i also found this on another site.. good luck will definitely be reporting them too.

sorry one last thing orange changed my number immediately and i didnt need a new sim so minimises the inconvenience, kept contacts, texts everything.,.
