700-000-0000

received call at 10:13 am on 1-29-08 message left was just hold music

Received a call 2/12/08 12:38 afternoon.

Just got the call May 29 2008 at 12:24 PM. I did not pick up, they did not leave message.

GOT THIS CALL FROM 1-700-000-0000 ONCE A DAY FOR 3 DAYS ON 5/28/08 AT 2:57PM,
5/29/08 AT 3:42PM & 5/30/08 AT 1:36PM. NO ONE SAYS ANYTHING JUST A WIERD NOISE IN THE BACKGROUND.

I've gotten 3 calls in the last two days from 701-000-0000. I picked up the 2nd time, but no one was there.  No messages were left either of the other two times.

I have been receiving these calls at home and at my office. When ever we answer there is no one there and they never leave a message. These calls have been going on for about a week.

Calls from this number - when I answer, no one there or a weird noise.

Got a call from 700-000-0000, no one there, just noise. No name on caller ID.

Political organizations need to be added to the DNC list. There also needs to be regulation by the FCC to make the spoofing of caller ID illegal.

This call was from a political organization advertising Dan Claitor for some office. Please do NOT NOT vote for any candidate that phones you and let them know it.

Called 4 times today, Jan 20.  I answered 2 times; the caller hung up.  Never a message.

dan claitor WILL NOT VOTE 4 HIM BECAUSE OF SPOOFED NUMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

is this number even work has anyone called it???

Got a call today at 3:48pm, CST. A Woman said Hello twice. When I replied, she hung up. For the hell of it, I called the number back, a recording said the call could not be completed as dialed.

I found this info on another website regarding 700 numbers, known as "spoof" numbers:
Spoofed Numbers: Caution, 700-000-0000 is a "spoofed" number, which means that whoever called you "tricked" your caller ID to display an incorrect phone number. Telemarketers do this so you cannot complain, but they failed... you can still file a complaint here to fight back against unethical telemarketers.

Received call from this # twice.  Answered & man said he was from a credit union & asked for my wife.  I asked what business he had and he refused to say.  I hung up on him.  No valid credit union would call after business hours.

Call 10-9-09 at 11:23AM. No voicemail message left.

Got this call & it was asking for pledges for Rand Paul, Ron Paul's son running for senate.

got this # on my cell phone every day for the last 3 days so far.  I think it is related to my giving my information out to Campaign for Liberty (Ron Paul) in the past.  Have asked them multiple times to remove me from their distribution lists.

Got this number two times first time (yesterday 7:06pm) I didn't want to answer because I knew it wasn't a normal number. And the 2nd time was today at 10:06am 10/9/09 while in my class so I didn't answer it.

After reading the past to comments I am GUESSING it was a Ron/Rand paul phone call because i am involved with campaign for liberty.

A dumb call but a dumbier phone number.  WHo are they?
