Ron Paul's Campaign for Liberty

I've been getting like one every other day for two weeks. And that's just what came in while I have been home.  Just the number and no ID. I did give Ron Paul 200 bucks during 2008 campaign. If it is his group, I am not thrilled that they think they need to put up a spoofed number.

I would recommend not donating to those who are calling via spoof numbers.  I highly doubt that politicians would use a 700 spoof number to get you to donate.  I'm guessing it's a fraud.

We only donate to our party/charity of choice via their website or snail-mail.

I have received several calls with this number as the ID.

This is a scam they are trying to get personal information. They make it sound serious like by saying, " for quality assurance this call will be recorded, Im Ben from... and ask questions.  I got this call last night

I did not answer.

I don't know who it was, or what they wanted, but he knew my name... So I told him he had the wrong number, and that this is a newly acquired phone plan, and he hung up. That was the first, and hopefully last call I get from them.

I received a call from 700-000-0000 at about 2:00 p.m. today.  They left a message asking for a return call.  

We do have a vehicle financed by them, but they were notified yesterday that the vehicle was deemed to be a total loss due to an accident (on 5/3 - date the payment was due), and that the insurance company would be contacting them for a payoff.

I received a call on my cell phone from 700-000-0000 and no one was on the line when I picked up

I received a call twice from700-000-0000 on my cell phone on 8/3/10.  The first time I did not answer but the second time, there was no one there, Just silence! Whatever happened to the DO NOT CALL List. Mine does not expire until 2011.  This can be quite costly if continued!!!

This definitely is a fraudulent caller! FBI, I'm sick of this type of crap. The caller (usually male) claims that he is from California Credit Union. What an idiot! He left an 800 hundred number for me to call back and the dumb woman on the line questioned me like she was some type of interrigator! I called her on it and told her if she think that I was as stupid as she was to answer her questions (questions she should already have the answer to) then she was was sadly mistaken.

I know the economy is bad but, REALLY, how do we expect to recover with these vile people lowering themselves to such pathetic attempts at trying to make a buck?!

I received a call and did not answer it.  Left a message with weird noise in the background either breathing or something like that.  Called at 7:03PM Central time zone. The message went on and on with same weird noise till I got tire of listening and deleted it.

Two days in a row.  It rings a few times and disconnects.

Answered and all they said was Good-bye which was electronically produced

Called at 1:02 pm...no message. I just got a landline and have only given my number to my parents and still I get phone calls EVERY DAY from these spoof numbers and solicitors. Proof that your phone company DOES sell your number! AND I am in the unlisted program...
