You can't block it because it is not a real number, Information Brokers and other scammers are only after your personal information which they sell to others which also turn around and sell your number, typically you won't just haven one group calling you from the same number, they will also come in groups, they all use modern technology, like VOIP devices, smart phones and applications, help from your Service Provider, and so on.  They want any of the following:  either your name, mailing address, telephone number or IP address on the internet, if you don't think they are related you are sadly mistaken.  Once a group of scammers or Information Brokers get you to answer the phone, they now know the number they have IS LEGIT! That would be everyones first mistake.  Never answer an unknown suspicious number, let it go to voicemail, if they haven't left a message then you can be sure it's a scam.  NEVER give out your name, confirm you number or address, never give out your information online either, since Facebook, Google mail, etc etc etc ALL LIE and give out your information to the CIA, and marketing strategy groups who THEN sell your personal info to strangers whom could be scamming you all the way from China!  

Complaining about any unknown callers will not help, your government will not help, your service provider will deffinately not help, DNC lists are scams in themselves, best answer is to be smarter and more educated then the smarty pants callers.  Remember anyone who calls you is lying about who they are and what they are doing, trust this!  I could do it too if I were unethical. I tell ya though one day someone is going to get sick of this [***] and is going to use their IT skills to find these people and get revenge, just what kind of revenge will it be?? Muahahahahah

The automated message: if you have credit card debt you may be eligible for "0" interest. I selected "1" to speak with someone. They wanted a 10 digit credit card number to verify with the bank the card, I declined to give a card number. Someone in the background told the guy to hang up. DO NOT GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER OUT.

Received a call this morning on our home phone (N.B., SK), and it was dead air.  I called them back, and the recording said it was "Magic Jack".

Not sure who keeps calling from this number..but is so annoying!

Scam telemarketing with robotic telemarketer announcement.  Wants to save you money on your credit cards AFTER you provide them with your credit card info and personal info.

HANG UP IMMEDIATELY - or at least listen to the BS telemarketing message that they are using to try to suck in people.  

Too bad the friggin RCMP aren't kicking the butts of these types of scams

I got a call offering me an interest rate of 0% on my credit card if I had a balance over $4000. When I suggested that all he really wanted was my credit card number, the line was disconnected.

This number called mid-afternoon. I switched on my answering machine. No one on the other end said anything.

they say it is "Credit Services". Saying you qualify to reduce your credit card debt as low as 1%....scammers.....they couldn't even tell me who I have a card with.....they wanted me to tell them what cards I have....As soon as I told them that thier call was illegal they swiftly hung up..

I have an unlisted no#  and about two weeks ago I started receiving all these telemarketing calls.  First it was Tellus trying to get me to switch my service.  Now it's this no# and one other.  I have my personal phone no# listed on the DNCL  list, I have filed a complaint through the better business and consumer protection, and still these people keep calling several times a day.  How do I stop these people from calling??!!

We just got a new number yesterday and it is unlisted - we did this to stop these crap calls from coming in - we just got a call from this number - we are suppose to be unlisted - what the heck is going on.

get a couiple calls a day, why is this crap not illegal,   how do these call centers not get burned down and as the employees run out they are f***ing shot in the heads, they have no problems scamming old ladies out of the life savings.

i guess the cops in N.B. are too busy arresting each other for beating/intimadating there wives/girlfriends and helping each other out of drunk driving charges.  north bay the town that hires nothing but the best for there citizens taxes. maybe if we didn't hire based on if your apart of a high school football team or a high school hockey we might have some people in the right places that can really do something about this.

it is a joke that we cant get the phone companies to just shut down the phones and numbers that are used in this fraud, as far as im concerned they dont care, it easy money for them all i guess.
