I also get calls from them, something about a municipal violation.  I have not recieveed anything in the mail about a municipal violation or anything like that.  They call me on my my cell phone, which is not in my name and on the house phone of which is also not in my name.  I dont know how they got those numbers but it freaks me out.

I too have no outstanding bills and this MCSI called me. I saw on 20/20 that illegal phone sharks are calling and trying to profits off of the economic negative situations. People beware. Call the BBB to report these people.

Another collection agency calling to scam me. Since I don't answer unknown phone calls, why don't they send a validation in the U.S. mail to the right people? I don't have any delinquent debt. I'm tired of these phone calls coming from people I don't know. How can we stop these companies from calling for the wrong people?

Someone had left a voice message on my cell phone yesterday afternoon saying they were calling on behalf of the city of Chicago on a municipal violation I had. I called them back the next day wanting to know what it was they were talking about and they said they were actually calling from the city of Mundelein instead and that they were collecting tickets I had from January 2004. They don't greet with their company name, just their stupid names. They wanted to know my address which I didn't give to them.
2009 is almost over and they said they just now this report 4 days ago. I informed them and assured them I had already paid any tickets given by the Mundeleing Police Dept that same year they were issued. I had not had any other notice given to me in the past last 5 years!!!!!

Now they are sending out letters asking for $40 to settle a fine which my village claims I  do not owe.  They want credit card number, 3 digit security code, full name, address, and a signature  They do not even know my first name

This is a first class fraud that will be turned over to the Illinois Attorney in Springfield, Il as well as a copy to the US Postal Inspector, Washington, DC

I got a similiar letter yesterday claiming I owe $40 to the Village of Mundelein and I dont even know where Mundelein is.  Its an obvious scam and I am sending this to the Illinois Attorney General in Springfield, Illinois with a copy to my city mayor and police chief.  These people undoubtedly will be closed down

Same thing here. First they send a letter saying they are trying to collect a debt owned to Village so and so outside of my state. Strange thing is I haven't been out of state for a few years. And then they follow up with these calls. Yeah, right, I am going to give money to these con men.

This number keeps calling my house.  I have no idea who they are and never answer the phone .... I used to answer it when it first started but when I answered they hung up.

I see a whole lot of people claiming it is a scam.  I lost my license for have 13 unpaid tickets in Hickory Hills.  MSCI set up a payment plan, sent the paid info to my local police chief, who then sent it on to the Illinois Secretary of State and I got my license back.  I drive for a living, so I was following the process dilgently.  Go ahead and call me a plant, but don't you wonder why so many people are "reporting to the attorney general" yet you never see any story about a scam being shut down?  Dumb [***], they have been hired by your police departments to collect your parking tickets and the [***] is real.

This is most definitely NOT a scam  I had some unpaid parking tickets w/ /Tinley Park. They were actually quite friendly.  They do report to the credit bureaus and they will recommend thstate to suspend your liscence if you do not enter the repayment program.

So my mom gets a call on her cell tonight from the same number.  I call back because we missed the call.  They stated that they were looking for Gerald about some "Unpaid traffic tickets from 2006 OR 2007." THERES THE FIRST RED FLAG! IF IT IS LIGIT, they would not have said OR!   I went on to inform them that Gerald, my father, died 2 years prior.  They asked "Who is in charge of the estate?" I informed him that it was myself.  He went on to say that it was about traffic tickets, but couldn't say anything else about it....THATS SHADDY!

Well, I remember, prior to my dad's death he got pulled over for speeding and driving on a suspended license.  Well, we got an attorney (which was a family member) and we paid the legal fees in full and got off on the tickets.  How he got my moms cell number, I dont know...But in any instance, I called the police department of the village that he was pulled over in and asked if they sent anything to collections (i.e.: unpaid tickets), who do they use to collect the money?  They said they just go the the Lake County Sheriff's office and don't use a collections office...DONT TRUST THESE GUYS!

I just tried calling back several times and either got hung up on OR got yelled at...THEY ARE FRAUDS!

This company states that they are in Elgin, Illinois,  The website states Palos Heights, Illinois, but the number, according the the reverce look up function on whitepages.com says they are in Lansing, Illinois.  I got a call and they could not give me any information.  When I asked if I could speak with a supervisor or manager, nope, they all left at 5...Your telling me that absolutely NO managment (i.e.: supervisor or higher) is there for the hours of operation?  WTF!  DONT Give them any information! Dont give them money!

I hope, since it looks as if this is the first post people will see, that everyone reads this.  MCSI (Municipal Collections Services, INC), is NOT the number you are seeing come up on your caller IDs as 708 455 4047.  MCSI Is a legit company IF the following number appears: 708 448 6934.  The people calling from 708 455 4047 Are frauds claiming to be from this company when they are not.

If the people calling from 708 455 4047 are calling from the company they say they are, then their voice mail box outgoing message would say what company they are from...I just tried calling, got the voice mail and they had it go to a voice mail with no company name...

Everyone, I want you to all know, I just did a little more research, the Number 847 455 4047 belongs to the following company: Receivables Management, Inc.  I also contacted MSCI via email to make sure they are not in ANY way related to the aforementioned phone number and do not have a guy named "Bobby" on their staff.

Carol, its funny you say that.  I live in Mundelein.  If you know where Great America is in Gurnee, Illinois, then we are 20 min south of that.  IF not, Mundelein is approx. 40 min. North of Wrigley Field in Chicago (i.e.: about half way between Milwaukee, Wi and the North Side of Chicago).  

Now Carol (Or anyone in this situation), if they are saying that you "owe" Mundelein money for a parking violation, or anything like that, There are a couple of things you need to know. Obviously, did you even know Mundelein existed? 2) You can also call the Mundelein Police Department Non-Emergency number at: (847) 949-3250 and they will be able to tell you if you do "owe" money.

We get random calls from this number....this a Chicago Municipality with an urgent business matter, please call back....we never call back as we do not have any tickets!! And, we aren't in Chicago!
