SEO Marketing seller - put me on hold and i hung up.

Just received two missed calls from this number. When I typed it in, that made sense. They cold called me a couple months ago, were fairly rude on the phone as this thread states, but I was very interested in their services as they promised to get my website on the front page of Google and their ranking on Inc magazine's top 500 list seemed reputable to me. I signed up and after two months, my website has not seen the front page of Google. They did manage to upload other photographers' work to my Google Places page. I had to embarrassingly contact other local photographers and tell them that this company was claiming their hard work as my own. I reported it to Google. They removed the images. When I called Local Splash this morning, they said I couldn't prove that they put the images up there, so I wouldn't be getting a refund. Disaster. Please don't do business with this company.

The minute someone asks to speak to the "owner of the business" I know they are sale/spam/unwanted.  The minute I heard those four words, I hung up.

Congratulated me on my "Google customer feedback score", and offered me the newly vacated top spot in their local listings for my business type.  When I politely asked him to be more concise about the purpose of his call, and made it clear that I do my own SEO and would not be paying any fees for web marketing services, we he disconnected while I was mid-sentence.  Yeah, I guess that regrettable, time wasting phone call was my fault.

We are on the no call list and I am still getting calls from this number several times a day where when you answer no one answers back, this is a business.

This person has been calling my cell everyday, but has yet to leave a message. From reading the previous posts, just ignore this caller. They're obviously a spammer or a con artist.

Scammers, they call MY business, solicit me for google ranking, repeatedly asked for a price, blah blah, I politely said no thanks, when they told me I was an idiot.

Get this call at least once every day; wanting to speak to the owner on very personal and important matter.  I immediately respond the owner is on a job site, offer to take a message and the person hangs up.

This idiot does not know when to quit. He calls here all the time. I gave him dead silence this time and he finally hung up. I'm on the Do Not Call list and he got through anyway. What a loser, too much time on your hands there buddy!!! Get a real job. Loser!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Call form alleged search engine optimization company,  Local Splash, who claimed that my business didn't appear on the Internet anywhere, although they couldn't answer how they found me otherwise. LOL (I know for a fact that I show up on the first page of Google, Yahoo, Bing, and Ask.)

Criminal organization that WILL steal your money if you give them the chance.

Call came here while I was out...apparently didn't miss much according to the posts on this number. BTW my line is not a business line and never was and I don't have a google, Yahoo or any other page. therefore - the scum are simply using a robo dialler and random numbers.

Thanks to all you for info on these criminals, I have blocked the number. It looks like a variation on the scam about lowering your interest rates. You give them money and they don't give the service in return (or give some minimal but ineffectual service just so you can't get your money back).

Avoid like the plaque.

i get calls from this number too often! We are also on the do not call lists. Very frustrating.

Called our office a few minutes ago. Caller id came up as "Out of Area".  Lady on the other endasked to speak to the owner.  When I told her that the owner was not available, she said that she would try back later.  She did not say who she was or what she wanted.

We have received these calls as well.  If you are on a "No Call" list you should be able to report this to the enforcing agency as harassment or some such.  I do believe there are fines for them if they violate that list.  Check with the list you are on to see what the remedy or possible solutions may be.

Caller ID only says Midway City, CA.  
After answering - caller says "I know what your doing" and then says
nothing.  After repeated Hello is anyone there they hang up

this guy has called my phone about 8 times in the past couple weeks. Its a google voice number that gets forwarded somewhere else... very strange
