I needed to reset the security for my Outlook  account and I got a code sent by   Microsoft from this number so it is not a scam it is  an automated call originated by Microsoft. I requested the code to be sent.

Called me, and given the messages above. I think it's scam. I didn't pick up

they called my home also. my husbands payroll company uses paychex.com. when you sign into his account, they call to give you a code to enter the site.

Got a call from this number, showed as VERIFY, BEFORE  5:00AM.  Getting sick and tired of these bogus calls.  We only answer numbers we know.  Will be investing in a blocking device soon.  Anyone who responds to a phone call regarding their computer is crazy unless they called Microsoft & initiated the call themselves.  I have a friend who fell for this, and after a few months they helped themselves to $10,000. from her savings account.  If you ever allow them to remote access your computer because they said you had an issue, they have you right where they want you.

Go to Snopes.com  Microsoft ne er calls you out of the blue.  These are people trying to get hold of your computer.

Stated someone attempted to access one of my online accounts or tried to use my phone to access something online.

First received a text with a verification code.  Then followed up by two calls and one partial message including the verification code.
I've not opened any new accounts of any kind nor have I inquired of any of my current accounts anything that would require a verification code.  Seems bogus.
