I keep getting a call from this number? person? whatever Austin Graven, they leave no message on machine.... which throws up a red flag......cannot understand them if they speak when I answer which doesn't happen all the time............call at late hours or early hours which I do not like. What can be done?

You can try calling and asking them to remove your phone number(s) from their call lists. You can also do what one of the folks did several months ago and start sending them fax after fax after fax requesting that they remove your phone number(s) from their call list. You can also register your phone number(s) with the National Do Not Call Registry (www.donotcall.gov) and thirty one days after registering your numbers if you are still getting calls from Graven Austin, you can file a complaint with the registry.

once or twice a day-no one will answer-then hang up. have more to do than answer phone.

Per the instructions for filing a complaint with the national do not call registry at www.donotcall.gov.

"Even if your number is registered, charities, political organizations, and telephone surveyors may continue to call you. Companies with which you do business may also continue to call, unless you have asked them to stop calling you. If you have asked them to stop calling, please keep a record of the date you made the request and include that information in the comment section of any complaint you submit against that company."

I just called 719-219-0669 and left a recorded message asking to be removed from their call list, along with a warning that I'll file a formal complaint with the government registry if my request isn't honored.  

I'll wait a month then I'll file a complaint if the calls haven't stopped.  In the meantime, because I suspect these guys are really just verifying live telephone numbers, I'm turning off my answering machine until the calls stop and letting my friends and family know that they'll need to leave a message on my cell phone if they can't reach me during the next 30 days.    I'm also going to submit a separate "do not call" request to the magazines I subscribe to.  

If anyone has a better strategy for getting these calls to stop, please share.  Thx!

I received 2 calls from this number......I just blocked the number.....no calls since then!  Ha, ha.  =^..^=

first you don't leaqve a message....then you call every day...STOP CALLING ME....put me on the do not call list.

Like the others, I have received multiple calls with dead air.  I have called them back and have asked them to remove my name in the past and explained that I am registered on the Fed. DNC list.  I have filed a complaint and will continue to do so every time I receive one of their calls.  If you call them back and dial an extension (I like 0, 7, 8, and 9), you may or may not be able to speak to someone.  I prefer not to say anything to them and give them the same courtesy of dead air, since I have already requested that they remove me.

I picked the phone, and he asked my name. Once I answer yes, he hung up the phone. The I called back, the answering machine picked up. The message on the machine says "you reached Graven Austin do not call hot line. please leave your phone number after the beep..."

No one ever speaks...when I called it back it was a recording asking me to give my number to be removed from the calling list...I did not! Scam..

I keep getting these calls and I cleed it back before I looked this up. I left a message with my phone # to be put on the do not call list. Did I do something very, very, wrong.

Ditto what all the others report - very annoying!

Regularly receive calls from 719-219-0669 or "Gravin Austin". Caller hangs on long enough to initiate voice mailbox. Never any audible message. However, one empty message lasted five minutes. I can block number. but how do we stop this behavior? I like the fax punishment one participant used, but that obviously does not change behavior.
