This caller is a company that provides a service to clients to ensure the phone number is a live line. They will never leave a message, speak to you (except recording, or repeating your phone number back to you) and their purpose is to ensure your phone number is a working number. They work for telemarketers, insurance companies, collection agencies,non-profit and political organizatins.  they then feed your number back to them (or into the system as a phone number that is live answered by either a machine or person.)  Good luck!

ALLTEL # 724-548-5864  Keeps calling repeatedly.  Most annoying call.  Trying to sell a vacation.

How do I prevent this caller from bugging us so much?

Have received repeated calls (hangups) so I decided to answer since I'm on the do-not-call list.
I let the guy blab for a while. He stated that they have a cruise deal, and are a full-service travel agency....hmmm.

I asked where he was located and he said Ft Lauderdale, FLA near the Bank of America building.
When I asked his number so I could call back when I was less busy he said that he would call ME back (of course.) He stated that his corporate ID number was PD0883.

Since the number appearing on the caller ID has been spoofed, they are difficult to track down.

It shows up as Alltel and it's a recording saying " congratulations you've won a free Norwegian cruise.... Ect." if you wait to the end of the message the recording says to speak to a representative push 1 or to discontinue push 2, then another recorded voice says you'll be taken off the list. Well I've pushed two for a month and a half now. I'm also on the do not call list, it's really starting to drive me bonkers because they all at hours of the day and even nights.

Alltel (724) 548-5864 calls me at least two or three times a day. What can I do to stop them? It is impossible to speak with a live person.

These stupid people keep calling and no one is on the line when you pick up the phone.  A call back results in the operator  from phone company saying this is a disconnected number .  How can these idiots keep calling with these fake id numbers?   And how do they get your number in the first place ,when you are on the DNC list.  Disgusted with the whole system.  You people from this number need to get a life.

Received call-no message left-when I called back I got a recording stating that number is no longer in service.

Got a call yesterday the recording was for a cruise, anyone thought of calling NCL to report this? Anyway I hung up, today they called back, the voice prompt said push 2 if you want to be removed. I did so and will again report them to the do not call list, but I am wondering if that really works I have been getting a lot of calls, this week I even had one that said SCAM on caller ID.

Recieved a call from 724 548 5864 & it pissed me off, so I sent an earthquake to scare them off the phone

These people are still calling around.  Got a voicemail yesterday morning on my LAN line at 11:56 about a cruise , but message started in the middle of the sentence and was cut off at the end.

That's great!!!!  I am surprised they were able to make all of their calls with the earthquake affecting some of the phone systems.

Just got a call, it read "Alltel". I answered and no one there.

Just received another call for ALTEL 724-548-5864 No message was left. Thank you for taking the time to explain who they are.

Recorded message "You have received tickets for an inclusive vacation on carribean cruise lines..." has been calling several days now. Pressed 2 to be taken off - got dead air. Tried to give them a chance to take our number off their list and got the: This number has been disconnected message.

Did report them to the Do Not Call registry.

Looked them up - a cell phone in the greater Pittsburgh metro /Kittanning area.

So annoying - but will DEFINITELY stop me from considering Carribean Cruise lines for a vacation - its like an anti-ad.
