They are spoofing the caller ID. Basically they are showing a number that is disconnected. It's illegal, but it makes it impossible to track them down.

Quit calling don't want a cruise just annoying calls to stop

The same number just called me too, a robocall offering a "free" cruise.  Or, of course, press "9" to have my number removed from their list (which I tried).  Clearly the same jerks have been running this scam for a long time.  The caller ID is being spoofed, which is illegal, and they're calling numbers (like mine) which are on both the Texas and Federal Do-Not-Call lists, which is also illegal.  If all of us would call our US Senators and US Congressman to complain every time we got these calls, eventually they would get the message and go after these scofflaws.

I like to ask them if I can put them on hold and I'll get right back.  Wait five minutes and do it again.  I have alot of fun with that...

called and left no message on machine.   the caller ID said Windstream

Whoever it was, they let the phone ring nearly a hundred times and then called back a second time. Whoever is doing this is just plain creepy.

More crap about winning a cruise - usually scumbags that could care less about the do not call list. If it sounds like a scam, smells like a scam....
