This number has called every night but does not leave a message and does not say anything when I answer. If it is Rutgers alumni association soliciting donations no problem but be professional.

A Weirdo called me from this phone number (732)839-2008 at approximate 9:25 pm on Feb. 12, 2014 and said something inaudiable in broken English!!! Terrorist or stalker????

Rutgers does not give out any information.  The callers are working for Rutgers and only have access to the information for the purpose of making the calls.  The reason they might be asking whether you still live at an address is because they may not have updated information for all graduates.  Personally I don't think 10pm is that late but that is just me as I am up later than that, I understand it may be an annoyance to those who go to bed earlier.  I am an alum and get the calls as well.  In fact I found the page because I had a missed call from the number tonight and I didn't recognize the number.  I am disappointed to see from some of the comments about the high pressure tactics.  Many alums gladly give to support their alma mater because of the impact it had on their lives.  However IMHO, they need to do better knowing who has already given and not have such high pressure pitches.  My reunion is this weekend, so I may try to talk so some people about this as I am an active alum and have interactions with some of the staff.  With how negative people feel about telemarketers, they shouldn't feel like they are talking to one when getting a call from your alma mater.  Hopefully this doesn't taint an alum's feelings about Rutgers in general as these calls don't represent what Rutgers was or is about.  Unfortunately it is a fact of times with increasingly less funding coming from the state, but they do need to fund a way to do it better.

The way I see it, if Rutgers wants donations, send it in the mail.  Never do business on the phone.

I just got a call from same number. I told the person that I could not give out any of my credit card info and she tried to assure me it was secure connection. How can they expect people to just give out the credit card into over the phone to some stranger with all the fraud that has been going around? That is ridiculous!

I've gotten several calls from this number in the last few weeks but have never picked up. If it really is Rutgers, I'm wondering how they got my number; I went to UCLA.

I don't pick up when I get these several calls but it's annoying. I just blocked that number now. Hopefully that works.

Alumni is plural.

They should call during regular hours since most Rutgers alumni are jobless anyway

If you have ever had any business relationship with the entity, or it falls under one of several other exceptions, the Do Not call list is meaningless.

Caller ID states Rutgers. Believe the call is from Rutgers Alumni Services(?). I Didn't answer this time. (They) left no Voice Mail. I called back and left a voice mail requesting to be taken off their call list.

What I've been reading Rutgers keeps calling. I have never attended nor plan to I've only been to tech schools never a 4 yr college. I also have no money what's so ever to donate!!!

Called mentioning the name of my daughter who just started as a freshman this September. i normally do not take this calls but as he was referring to my daughter I got worried. Shouldn't you be making these calls after they graduate and are already making money? They are still paying tuition for crying out loud.

Answered even though I didn't recognize the number... no one was on the line.  After repeated, unanswered "Hello?"s I hung up and blocked the number.

I receive about out a call a week from Rutgers asking for a donation.
I have number on auto block so my phone doesn't even ring when they call.
Why should I give my hard earned dollars to an organization that "wastes" money on non-winning teams, then hires head coaches that make millions a year and now they want to build a new stadium too...
