Just got a call from this number, they left no message, tried to return the call but it is usually busy. If it actually does ring, nobody picks up.

someone called me from 740-368-0299. when i picked up nobody would say anything then they hung up. i called back and the phone kept ringing. i do have a checking and savings account with citibank. i called citibank and they said that they did not contact me. they said if anyone calls asking to vertify any info even if they asked if you live at this address advise them you are not at liberal to answer that and contact me with a letter through the mail.

I just got two calls from this number.  I didn't answer because I didn't recognize it. this isn't the first time it has happened

Called three times in a row. They did not leave a message each time they called. I tried to call back but got no response. Crazy, huh?!

Got two back to back calls on my cell from this number, 740-368-0299, on Sunday 11/09/2009 at 2:27pm Central.  They did not leave a message.  At first I thought it was another charity group I donate to, but after googling this number it appears it is not.  Will wait and see if they call again today.

I have been receiving these same calls that everyone on here is talking about from the same number. They are calling my work and cell phones. They are telling me they are from some pharmacy. Too bad they are too foreign and too illiterate of the English language to steal any of my information. Idiots--

This number is actually legit for a call center that handles customer service for Citibank Mastercard. I had to get a hold off my Mastercard. The problem arose when I neglected to notify them I was going out of country which raised a fraud alert when I tried to check in to my hotel my card was not accepted. Embarassing experience, lesson learned: need to notify Mastercard ahead of time when planning to depart from normal spending pattern.

Anyway after I called my wife at home and asked her to straighten it out, a gentleman with an Indian accent called from the above number, with my wife on 3-way call, to let me know it was cleared.

I received a call from this number on my cell phone today.  I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.  I called the number back from my work line twice and it was busy both times.  I don't have any account with Citigroup, so I'm not sure why anyone from there would be contacting me.

This number calls me to try and get information such as address, dob, ss#, and work place phone number.  they have a heavy indianish accent and when i tell them to stop calling they insist, that they have my permission to call in writing and signed by me.  also they insist that if i do not speak with them that they will have the payments owed (which is NONE) with drawn from my checking account.  and to my surprise after hanging up on them, and about 2 hours later i have a charge of 38.50 taken out of my checking account.  i immediately call my bank and have this disputed.  the bank refunds me my money, and cant even tell me where the charge is coming from.....it is an ach debit with my account number and routing number (so its coming out at a online check payment)  they cant even find a number, name or anything of this company so they cant block the charge.  then exactly one month later another charge came out for 38.56, my bank automatically called me and notified me of the charge and asked if i wished to dispute it.  i did and once again NO info of this company is anywhere.....soooo i had to close my bank account and pulled my credit to see if they have been using anything else...they haven't.  to prevent it i put a block on my credit so no new account can be acquired and anytime someone even request my credit be pulled or checked for a new account i will receive a certified letter of who and where the request was.....i still get phone calls from this phone number which i DONT answer and they never leave messages.  i get it every week at 740pm-830pm ONLY ON SUNDAYS...what company tries to contact someone on sundays?

They left me a message when they called me.  It was Citifinancial Auto.  I was late on my car payment.  It's not a good callback #.  The callback number was an 800 number for me to make my auto payment.  It was legit.

740-368-0299 called me about my granfather who recently passed in january 2010. the guy was foreign and said he was from CitiCard. he asked me if i was POA for my grandfather and i told him i was not giving info. This guy is definantly a scammer!! my grandfather has nevr had a card from that place!! he was very persistant and i told him i would givehim my lawyers number and he asked if he hd the right name and i said yes and he said sorry for bothering you and hung up.

this number comes up on my caller id   a few times a day even on sunday i just received this call on sunday 5/30/10 at 617pm

I forgot to pay my Sears payment last month, so paying both this month.  The call is from CitiGroup which is actually representing Sears.  I also got a letter stating they wanted to offer me help cause I was behind on my payment.  But when, they call, they don't leave a message, etc., but it my calls from CitiGroup were actually related to Sears.

Just got a call from this number.  Bad connection, woman with very thick Indian accent....  claimed to be from Citibank and wanted to "verify my contact information"... including address and phone number.  I told her I do not give personal information to anyone who calls me -- period.  Just called Citibank to ask about it and was told they do not call customers to ask for that kind of information over the phone unless there is some kind of investigation on the account, and then they explain that....

I received a call from 740-368-8803, caller ID "KEVIN REID" at 2:31pm EST May 20, 2011. No message.

Citibank legitimately called me today from this number as a callback after I had called the 800 number yesterday and requested to followup with the agent the next day.

p.s. The reason I googled the number and found this site is that the callback came 4 hours before the scheduled time (when I wasn't available), and they called me 4 times and didn't leave a message, and when I tried to call the number there was no answer, so I wondered if it was a scam number. However, the agent called me again from the same number and I picked up. It was the same person from Citibank I had talked to the previous day.
