- CarlosThey keep on calling, don't know why.........????????
- MPDReceived a call from this number today, literally minutes after making a deposit at Citibank. It was an American male who spoke very clearly and said that one of our ATM cards was flagged for fraudulent activity. Apparently, the card was used at a business that is suspected to have had a security breach. He wanted to cancel the one card and issue a new one to us. We went right back into the Citibank branch and had the information verified. It was a legitimate call from Citibank, much to our relief.
- Caller: Citibank
- sueHi - I just received a phone call from this number saying my account at Citi had been compromised and they would need to send a new card. I googled and saw this and panicked. I contacted citi and turns out the representative was totally legit.
- ChrisThey just called me and asked for my name but with the first name of "Kathleen."
Sorry there is no one here by that name -- they sounded surprised and hung up.- Caller: Unknown
- Call type: Telemarketer
- RamVIt's Citi. I called today to close my account over the phone. I updated my address and asked them to bring my account to 0 balance by mailing me a check with the remaining balance. I updated my mailing address, so they were calling to verify I had made an address change.
- Caller: Citi
- SamI applied for a Citibank credit card and they called to verify bc I have a security alert on my credit bc of previous identity theft problem!
- Caller: Citibank
- Randy JacobTHIS NUMBER IS LEGIT! It is not a scam. I went into Citi Bank right after receiving this phone call telling me my card has been compromised and asked them about it and they confirmed that this number is a Citi number and the people on the other line are in fact Citi employees.
- Caller: Citi Bank
- KiramSounded very unprofessional. And claimed somebody left my number on his voicemail expecting a call-back.
Must be a phishing or fraud call. - citi customerIt is a legit Citibank number. This is the number that came up on my caller ID when they called to check to make sure I was making charges to my debit card during an out of state trip. Since it was unusual activity they wanted to make sure it was me and not cc theft or other fraud. But, that does not mean they don't also use this same number to make calls for other reasons, like solicitations. I marked this call type as an "SMS". Not sure what that means but the other choices didn't match what it was.

- maryI got the call from 740-368-0299 it shows Ohio on 3/9/2013 about 6PM. Next Monday I go to bank to check over but the bank doesn't know any thing and this is not bank number.
- JZI am the receptionist at a business. A person for whom English is a second language keeps calling and saying they are on a recorded line.
They ask for a person who doesn't work here (actually, it's the first name of one person and the last name of a different person). They claim to be calling about unpaid student loans but both people haven't been to school in decades and don't have student loans. I believe it's a phishing scheme. - Oman replies to Gigi| 1 replyI got a call from the same number (7403680299) on May 21st 2014 to my Omani phone
A lady claimed to be from Citibank and claiming her name Susan started by calling my full name and asked to confirm if it is correct .Then she said warned me that the conversation is recorded and monitored for quality assurance and gave me reference number for me to refer back to this conversation.
When she started asking me to confirm my date of birth, I become suspicious and I asked her to give me the name of my account manager first. She didn't know and started to panic and keep telling me I can call my account manager and give him the reference number she gave me earlier. I asked her to email me the reference number, I was surprised when she said she does not have email.
I told her I have to terminate the call as I am suspicious and hanged up.
I will be reporting this to Citibank. - Oman replies to OmanI also believe some people from the same number are posting messages here to claim it is LEGIT.
Very surprising how would a person who receives legitimate call browse for it in WHO CALLSME to claim it is LEGIT.
Not surprising to see them put full name or to impersonate Citibank employees. - Aaron replies to LorrhaWhen I looked them up in also said Delaware but was an AT&T Phone service.
