I keep getting calls from these people too, and I've only just moved to the US-- I just got this phone and I don't have any debt, so why won't the leave me along? When I answer the phone there's no one there.

I did recieve a lot of phone calls from them even I have no debts. They were rally rude  since they  never introduce themselves on the phone and later on I called Chicago police department but after that I notice that I am having a huge number of collecting agencies asking me for several name .

Buttomlinre I believe that all the collection agencies are connected and they do a big scam. I complained to BBB but it was a wast of time and efforts.

i received a call today from Allied Interstate. I was a voice recording and said that it involved a debt. I will not return the call and will report it if it happens again.

Call a couple of times a day but never leave a message

several times a day.  AT&T's call block "Does Not Allow" this service on this number...
We're also on the no-call list...how does this happen when two services don't work on this number?

Well I'm in the UK and I received a call from these cretins who left a msg asking me to call 0018002146530.  There I was left on hold then told all the operators were busy and to try again.  
I think this is a big con the only beneficiary being Allied Interstate who make money from your call.

I have spoke to these rude individuals several times looking for someone that I have never heard of. So, I took it apon myself to call them back every hour (they start to get a little upset). But, it has made them stop calling.
You should also, let them know you have filed a complaint with your states attorney general.

I keep getting calls and messages on my company phone. These are unwanted calls. How do you get them to stop?

Have recieved calls from this number every single day for over a month. Asking for some guy that is not me. This  a pre-paid phone on the national do not call registry. When I call back the numner, they still ask for the same guy. I told them there is no one by that name, and the guy said he would remove my number, Hopefully he will. If they keep calling i will contact my lawyer.

I got a call asking about someone I knew almost 25 years ago, a former girlfriend, we lived together for a year or so.  they wouldn't ID themselves but google shows the *69 number as a sleezebag collection agency.

You have rights. There is the FDCPA Federal Fair Collections Act, And the FCRA Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act. There is a cease and desist letter that you can mail to creditors Allied Interstate go to website www.fairdebtfaircredit.com and click on a message at the left of the page that says: stop a debt collector from contacting you by phone or mail and validate or varify the debt. Fill this out and send it to the creditor certified mail return confirmation return,this way you know they got the letter. Make a copy for yourself and keep it or file it in your computer. Call your Attorney General for your state, they know about this company and you can join a class action law suit. Go to Consumer Counselor Group. They will help. They are a group of attorneys that will help.Last but not least the originator of this company his name is Vikas Kapoor, a foreigner trying to rape us the American People, he has no dignity. They call my house EVERY MORNING and wake me up. I am sick to death of them! When I do answer the phone, theres no one there. They are really starting to tick me off, and I dont know how to stop them from calling. Grrrr!!!

Called from 775-319-1506 on 10/10/08.  Said they were a company named Allied.  They wanted to talk to W Bergeron.  I told them I was speaking.  Immediately they wanted me to veirfy where I lived and my last four digits of my social security number and I told the young idiot on the phone I dont give out ANY INFORMATION TO ANYONE I DO NOT KNOW.  I owe no bills.  I have no debts.  They are trying to fish to connect correct social security numbers with names so they can run a scam on people.  Too bad I could not reach through the phone ahd choke the hell out of him///// anymore calls and I am going straight to the FCC in Washington and any other agency I can to stop there mess. On top of all that the person was as beligerent as a person could be.  He best leave things alone cause one day all will turn back around and bite them in the butt

This is a debt collection agency who has continuously called my home phone number on a daily basis for several weeks from two different phone numbers (800-214-6530 and 775-319-1506).  Most of the time they only hang up when the call is answered.  On two occasions I have spoken with an agent and in both cases they asked for different names of people I have never heard from and said they will "remove my number within 48 hrs".  I have filed complaints with the FCC's Do Not Call/Telemarketing division about both numbers and I see that the internet is full of complaints of these people calling people about debts they do not owe, asking for other individuals at your home number.  In my case, I have had my phone number for over 7 years.  On 11/24 and 11/25 I managed to speak with a representative at the 800# and didn't know the people they asked for and was told my number would be removed from their list.  It never happened as they have called numerous times since, including most recently  on 12/1 and 12/3, and 12/4 (today).  Yesterday and today, however, they used their 775 area code number to call me.  I can't get these people to listen to my requests to stop calling and I would like them to cease-and-desist calling for people I have never heard of and most of the time getting a "dead silence/hangup" when I do answer the phone.  They have never left a message on my answering machine either.

Allied Interstate calls me continuously on my cell phone, work phone and also my parents phone.  I have told them each and every time they call me at work, do not call my work.  I have also talked to them and told them that I needed to see in writing what this debt is.  They tell me that they can not provide that.  I then tell them that I have nothing more to say to them and hang up.  They have also been calling my parents house, which I have not lived there for 8 years and do not know how they got the number.

Any help on what to do now would be appreciated

I keep receiveing calls from this number, usually a recording. This am someone asked for a "Juan" ... I should have quried as to the nature of the call. I did not...

Same here, they keep calling every day and looking for someone else but even though I tell them noone by that name lives here and that they are calling the wrong state since I got them to tell me the name and state the person lives, well they call again the next day and next day, etc. I have complained to FCC to no avail.

I RECEIVED 2 CALLS. VOICE MESSAGE. This is pure harassment.

Calls from this company several times a day saying "he" wants to discuss a debt and call 1 800 806-3342.  I have no outstanding debts and always let the call go to the recorder.  What is to be gained by the continued harrassing calls to  senior in her 70's?????
